I must admit, what a great season you guys are having so far, this just shows that the players get the job done most of the time not the "coach'...I love Larry Brown, but look at his record with the Knicks 0-4, and Detroit's record without him 5-0.
So far so good. Still a lot of season left obviously, but who could ask for a better way to kick things off? Detroit is without doubt the best team in the East right now, they're simply playing out of this world. Well, they did let the Suns game get out of hand for awhile, but they still turned it on when needed. I still want to see how good Miami can be with Shaq healthy (enough), but I still can't see Jason Williams and Antoine Walker being the guys that put them on Detroit's level.
It's great to see that the Pistons are finally being recognized by the people on this board. Thanks for the support guys. Guess we are proving wrong those who said we will barely be the 3rd best team in the East.

Busy talking about the fact that we only won because nobody else was any good. Waiting for us to fall off the instant some other team improved. Without realizing that we're championship caliber ANY YEAR... not just that one year that the East was weak.

I totally agree. Your team is probably one of the best, if not the best, in the league. Not just in the East. There is so much team effort and everyone has his role to play. Its always fun to watch your team play great basketball! cheers!!!
They are playing incredible right now....but I am interested to see how they play against Miami and Indy....sure it is cool to see them flying up and down the court right now...but how will they play when Indy plays a physical game on them?....That is when they will show me something

Well, the 2 seasons ago, the Pistons weren't the best team in the East until the trade that gave them Rasheed and Mike James. Then last season, there wasn't a clear better team between Miami and Detroit.
Plus, from a personal perspective, Larry Brown was the head coach for the past 2 seasons, so therefore, there was nothing to like about the Pistons. I'm so happy for Max that he doesn't have to deal with Brown.
Detroit is the best team in the East!!!
