Re: Can the Pistons win 70?

This Pistons team in the 2001-02 Eastern Conference, maybe.

I don't think they have much chance at 70 wins, but mid-60s is possible. They are an amazingly good team.

This is why the Pacers are the most hated team in the league.

Re: Can the Pistons win 70?

alright, no need to bring down the pacers. Don't anyone post a "will the pacers win 20 games" in the pacers forum either.

I think the Pistons will be very close to 70. You never know, with injuries, suspensions...etc. Also the pistons haven't played all the teams with this new offense so who knows how matchups will go.

Re: Can the Pistons win 70?

50 is likely, 60's possible.... i dont see any team getting close to 70 in the next few years.. even though there are elite teams, the 'lower' teams still get upsets quite often, just the nature of the league.
i think the pistons will win an even 60 this season, early to try and guess though

Can the Pistons win 70? Yes
Will the Pistons win 70? Unlikey to say the least but I would love to be wrong

I guess so. I didn't think anyone could hate a team because of geeky people typing on their computers, but I guess I'm wrong. I didn't even know Indiana was "hated on".

I don't see what's wrong with that statement. He just said "absolutely not" in reference to if the Pistons would win 70 games. No one team in the current NBA will come close to 70 games. Would anyone have a problem with it if he said the Pistons would win 55 or 56 games? That's only 3-4 games off from what he said, and the Eastern Conference is even better this year. The #1 team will be lucky to reach 60 wins.

I agree with Pacers Fan on this one. I can't see any team winning 70 games, and if it weren't for this great start I would've guessed that they'd win anywhere from 52-60. I happen to think saying the Pistons will win 70 games is quite ridiculous.
