We all know what he's meant to this organization and what he's done for the team, but at the same time does what he bring to the table make him worth the max? You have arguments on both sides. On one side you can say guys like Larry Hughes and Michael Redd make the max (with Hughes not being an All-Star), then on the other, although hsi impact is better than the stats suggests, Ben is a 10 point, 13-14 rpg type of player.

joe has made it a point to reward guys who have been in the system and it won't hurt the cap situation to give him the max, so the question is is he worth it and do you give it to him.

Lots of teams would pay him the max. Im a Pacers fan, and as much as I dont want the Pistons to do well, Ben is the heart and soul of the Pistons, and I would hate to see him with another squad. Hope you guys get him at a good price.

I think if one Player deserved it he does, he gave the organization its face after Hill left. His hustle and never say die playing style gave the fans something to cheer about. This is a blue collar town and Ben is a true blue collar player. Having said that....I think Ben will be the highest paid player on the roster, but I seriously doubt he will get the max.
