I expect this to be a tough game for us. GSW is much improved plus we haven't played in almost a week.

Re: Game Thread: Game #16: Golden State Warriors vs Detroit Pistons

The Warriors just lost a tough one to the Suns, essentially getting out-executed in the last 3 minutes of the game.

W's might have had a little rust, having their first consecutive days off of the season, for the Phoenix game. They ought to be a little sharper for Detroit.

That being said, the Pistons look scary. Between their defense and the new offensive freedoms Flip has allowed, I don't see the Warriors winning this one.

Good luck, Pistons fans.

Re: Game Thread: Game #16: Golden State Warriors vs Detroit Pistons

Wow, we're actually playing a game?

We've only played 15 so far this season. No other team has played less than 17. Most teams have played 18 or 19.

I haven't really looked at the schedule, but to have that few games so far we must have some pretty vicious stretches coming up at some point.

Re: Game Thread: Game #16: Golden State Warriors vs Detroit Pistons

Murphy and Foyle have 'flu-liked' symptons and are game-time decisions. If both of them can't go, there's no reason the Pistons can't blow the Warriors out tonight.

I do hope that Warriors pulled out a miracle.

This would be a nice time to see Darko and Max start...of course. Then when the Warriors begin to blow us out we will switch back, but hey, it'll keep the fans happy. I gotta say it would be nice to see more of what the other guys can do.

Re: Game Thread: Game #16: Golden State Warriors vs Detroit Pistons

It's great that you guys think so highly of GS, but I don't think the Warriors can take the Pistons even with everyone for reasons bruindre has mentioned. If the Warriors don't have Murphy, it'll likely be a Pistons blowout...otherwise, it'll be a closer matchup and perhaps GS even has a shot of winning.

Re: Game Thread: Game #16: Golden State Warriors vs Detroit Pistons

It will be interesting to see how the Pistons respond to their mini break. Im sure the rust will show, but I hope they can shake it off and get the w.

Foyle and Murphy have decided to play with the flu. Should be interesting...

This just in Carlos Arroyo still sucks. He couldn't guard either Fish or Davis.

Re: Game Thread: Game #16: Golden State Warriors vs Detroit Pistons

I am just watching the Knicks/Suns games and managed to catch the half time Pistons highlights...the announcer said something that could quite possibly be true. The Warriors and Pistons together sport the two best back courts in the league. Neato.

Re: Game Thread: Game #16: Golden State Warriors vs Detroit Pistons

Am I watchin with my Homer glasses again? or are there some extremely obvious calls being blown by the refs in favor of the Warriors? Fisher couldnt have been any more offensive when he ran over Wallace, unless he went and got his car. And Foyle just ran Billups into Fisher with a moving shoulder tackle, even earlier the bs call on Dyess when he stripped the ball, or the horribly late whistle on the imaginary blocking call. just to name a few....is it me?
