Pistons Trade Fantasies
Well A. Sharrod Blakely (sp?), writer for the booth newspapers, was on the radio today and I was listening to him talk about the pistons now being open to trading darko. So I thought it would be amusing if some of us put together some trade scenario's we would love to see.
First one would be with golden state (kind of what I would expect indiana to get in an artest trade). GS gets big, we get ton of young talent and a beast of a contract in foyle.

Successful Scenario
Due to Detroit and Golden State being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Detroit and Golden State had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Trade ID
Every trade made by fans is allocated a unique Trade ID which you can share with friends and fellow basketball fans to allow them to see your trade scenario. The Trade ID for this scenario is 2799396.

Re: Pistons Trade Fantasies
When you're the best team in the league, any trade is a bad trade.

Re: Pistons Trade Fantasies
I agree, nobody would really grab minutes. At best we may find a taker willing to give up a first-rounder. Maybe a team that is contending, but lacks a future center... with first round picks to spare... a western conference team... in the desert...
Yeah, you all know what I'm hinting.
Darko plays a face up, softer, less aggressive game. He's very quick laterally. He has a nice touch, he has good soft hands and dishes the ball well. He's also learning strong defense from the Detroit boys.
Now imagine him as the center of the future in a fast-paced offense... alongside a very aggressive power forward, one of the most aggressive in the game.
Darko-Amare-Marion-Barbosa-Nash
And we get one of the 1st Rounders from PHX that they got from Atlanta, they have plenty to spare right now and Darko might be worth it.
Is there anything cap-related that would ruin this deal?
