Re: Game Thread: Game #67(?): Miami Heat vs Detroit Pistons
End of first quarter...21-19 Miami.
What can we expect from the second quarter? Will Detroit try to establish more of a inside presence with Shaq on the bench?
Will Ben get some more touches? Will Wade turn it on?

Oh my God. Is this how we always play?
70% of our offensive possessions never get below the free throw line. This 3-ball bull**** is maddening.
We get nothing easy, nothing going to the basket, no opportunities to get fouled....

Billups for 3, 32-29 Miami.
Morning is apparantly out for the game, too bad -it would have been alot better to have him on the floor along with shaq as we pull away in the fourth quarter .

I totally agree, i expected Detroit to go inside and try to establish some presence/get Shaq in foul problem as Morning is out.
Good shot Prince!

Hey! There's that fouling Shaq's elbow with your face foul we all know and love.
This team has a 3-pointing problem.

Re: Game Thread: Game #67(?): Miami Heat vs Detroit Pistons
I cant believe Detroit is sitll in this game with the way the team played in the first half.
The team is showing alot more heart with the rebounding and all, but man, the perimeter shooting is awfull.
Geez, this is becoming very physical!

What a god awful first 3 quarters. Glad we finally got it going in the 4th. I love Lindsey but my new favorite player in the league is Antoine Walker I don't think there is anyone as brain dead as he is in the NBA. Up by 6 with 3 minutes to go.

Right. Because Miami with Shaq and Zo is all about finesse and grace. Mhm.

Re: Game Thread: Game #67(?): Miami Heat vs Detroit Pistons
We really need to run that pick and pop almost everytime Shaq is guarding either Sheed or Dice. Shaq can't recover quick enough so its almost always an open jumper for either of thos guys. In the past I haven't felt confident with having to play Miami in the playoffs but with home court even though it will go at least 6 or 7 games we should be able to handle them.

Re: Game Thread: Game #67(?): Miami Heat vs Detroit Pistons
good game fellas...
I won't even get into the officiating, but that's not why we lost (check the difference in fouls).
The loss of Zo hurts alot more than the loss tonight. With him out there all night, we have a totally different outcome (not saying we win, but it's a better game). Shaq played almost the whole 2nd half, and Zo brings a different look and more energy. When you play McDyess at center with your small lineup, we get hurt b/c Shaq doesn't get out on McDyess, who can consistantly hit that mid-range J. Zo can play with McDyess, so it takes away that easy look. But what can I say, you bottled up Wade and we didn't get the contribution from anyone outside of #32. Hopefully we both stay healthy (or get healthier in our case) and meet up again at the Palace in a few more weeks......
OT: Your fans were weak all night tonight. The bar was raised for the playoffs with the trash talking, and I came in expecting the same tonight...fellas...I was let down. I never even got PG-13 trash talk to me! I sat 8 rows off the court and acted like I was at a Heat home game, and never got heckled one bit. Only a few weeks up, you guys need to get your trash talking into playoff mode before I come back in a few weeks....the Heat fan in the red Zo jersey is starting to make the Palace his own....
