Re: Flip Murray A Piston
Murray can't really play the point. His handles aren't good enough. Looks like Hunter will have to play more minutes than they want because you can't burn out Billups during the regular season.
BTW, Acker looks really good. I was watching the SUmmer League game on NBATV last night and he was scoring in many different ways. Maybe Acker is better than both Murray and Delfino?

Re: Flip Murray A Piston
What a steal, you guys got him for nothing. Solid move, you finally have a nice SG to bring off the bench.

This statement alone shows you have no idea of what you are talking about. He has one of the better handles in the league. PERIOD. Its his decision making from the PG position that makes his PG skills questionable. Its is definitley not his handle.

Any guy that can put up those numbers against NBA defense deserves to be in our rotation, great signing.

that's news to me. anyways i think this is carlos delfino's swan song, he's the next in what's becoming a parade of foreign players to get the boot(okur, darko, delfino). why dont they just come out and say we dont want these guys here or better still dont draft them.

I think Delfino actually needs to have been put in the game once or twice before you're allowed to call it a swan song.

Re: Flip Murray A Piston
I hope Delfino takes this signing as a challenge to come in ready to go. Rather than a sign that his days are numbered. Delfino kinda strikes me as a player that needs his ego stroked, he is plenty good enough to be getting 10-15 minutes a game against most teams. I also think acker will get some spin this year along with Maxiell. I also watched the summer league games and Acker is playing very well, Max is having moments, the cheik saab ( or whatever his name is) also looks to be a raw talent with potential.

Darko is the only one to this point who has been run out of town. Nobody wanted Okur to leave, it just wasn't possible to keep him.

Re: 24 ppg in seattle
Great signing I honestly see this guy competing for 6th man of the year this coming year. BTW anyone know what numbers Nazr and Flip might wear? I was thinking maybe Nazr would return to his 13 since he wore that in college and NY. And flip would just wear 2 like he did with the Cavs. He can't wear 22 for obvious reasons.

It was probably inevitable that Flip Murray, sooner or later, would be a Piston.
It was the Pistons, after all, who essentially discovered Murray back in 2002 when he played for Division II Shaw (N.C.) University. Pistons director of scouting George David and director of player personnel Scott Perry were the first NBA scouts to watch him play.

First Flip article, and he'll be signing Tuesday.
