I would be surprised if Rip plays tonight. I would however like to see Max actually get some time. I dont know why he didnt get any spin last night. He would of been a perfect fit for the high energy up tempo that was being played.

As I understand, both are pretty much game-time decision. Bay Area newspapers report that J-Rich is feeling great after taking the last game off.
Feel free, Pistons fans, to join in on the banter on this game @ the Warriors Thread, too.

Re: Game Thread: Detroit Pistons @ Golden State Warriors: Nov. 11/06
This one wouldn't be all that tough if it weren't a back to back on the road. I'm not sure if Jason Richardson is playing or not, but he's been struggling this year, which is a shame since I'm a fan of his. Baron Davis just had a really great game against New Orleans, with 36 points, 9 assists, and 0 turnovers. He still probably takes too many threes given his accuracy, but he can be deadly. Nelson gave up on the point forward Dunleavy thing as far as I know, so we probably won't be able to abuse them on the inside as badly as we could have if they were still trying that. Andris Biedrins is shooting like 78% so far, so hopefully we can defend him. He does get into foul trouble on occasion, so maybe we can take advantage of that. Watch out for Monta Ellis, this kid can play. I'm wondering if Diogu is going to play, he torched us for 27 last season, and that was with Wallace.
This team's offense is pretty good, they get to the line a lot and shoot an above average percentage. They're a weak rebounding team, especially on the offensive end so hopefully we can take advantage of that. Their defense so far has been pretty bad as well. If our legs don't fail us, we should win this. Prince and Billups played 35+ minutes yesterday, so they might come out a little sluggish.

We are getting hammered in the first. It's times like these that I'm somewhat glad that i don't have the video feed.

Warriors looking solid in the first quarter, finishing the 1st w/ a 32-16 lead. Baron w/ 3 fouls (2 were total b.s.).
Tayshaun is looking good (as usual against the Warriors). W's matching J-Rich on Tay for D.

This is a frickin' nightmare. We're making them look like the Suns, except we also can't score on them at all.
Ugh, this is another game that I'll have to hide in the recesses of my memory.

3 totally horrid games out of 7. I don't know how this is possible, but there are too many winners on this team to not overcome early season trouble. Might take a while though

Re: Game Thread: Pistons @ Warriors: Nov. 11/06
What I would like to know is how did Carlos Delfino do? I see he put up some solid number in the rebound and assist categories but it seems like he just couldn't getting going on offense. He was 1-5 from the field with two points on the game, was he just unable to get his shots to fall?
How did J-Max do? I see he got some much needed burn, almost 28 minutes, and he finished with 11 and 7.
What was Amir Johnson like in his season debut?
What the hell happened to Nazr and Sheed?
I just want to say that I have no problem losing to the Warriors. They are a talented team with a great coach, but I do have a problem with losing by 32 points... to any team! What went wrong?

Re: Game Thread: Pistons @ Warriors: Nov. 11/06
Apparently the Warriors know how to deal with zone. I know we're gonna take our lumps in the early going, but our failure to make any sort of adjustments in this game is slightly disturbing. Not to take anything away from the Warriors here, they were outstanding, but as a Pistons fan, that is the problem. Really, only Prince was offensively decent, and he only shot seven times. The frontcourt disappeared, Chauncey wasn't shooting very well, Murray was a nonfactor. I hope Rip comes back soon, he has been pretty stable on offense this season and I think Murray is way over his head in a starter role.
About halfway through, we just started throwing our bench at them, and the one plus side of the game is that Maxiell and Amir did pretty well. The game as a whole reminded me of our first loss last season against Dallas. Flip eventually just turned to the bench and we lost by 35+. But Golden State isn't Dallas. We have a four day rest before our next game, so fatigue was the only problem here. Our home game run isn't very easy either (NO, Washington, Houston).
My predictions regarding this roadtrip were completely off. I thought we'd struggle against Utah and we came close, I thought we'd catch Sacramento while they were still struggling and they stifled us, I thought the Lakers could be dangerous and we slammed them, and I thought Golden State would be the easiest win and they handed our *** to us. Maybe I should stop making them.
