Nice play Delfino. How many years have you been in the league?

Re: Game Thread: Pistons vs Pacers: Dec. 29/06

we played like we had a lead in the last 5 minutes it sucks that delfino has to take the blame. I mean when mcdyess and billup miss 3/4 free throws..

You are right Delfino doesn't deserve all the blame for this loss, but he still deserves some of it for sending Armstrong to the line.

Re: Game Thread: Pistons vs Pacers: Dec. 29/06

The Delfino mistake was stupid. But so was McDyess missing two clutch free throws, and then Billups missing another one. So was the stretch in the fourth where the Pacers couldn't buy a basket and we couldn't put in any of our own shots.

luckily the east is so subpar this year that a brief tailspin (probably a 3 game losing streak after the Suns game) won't hurt too much

Re: Game Thread: Pistons vs Pacers: Dec. 29/06

Flip has to also take some blame for keeping the starters and Murray and DD in there so long, we had a nice leadin the second quarter when he removed Max and Delfino and the Pacers made a nice run until Max and Delfino came back late in the 3rd or fourth quarter. We have been trying to develope the bench for a reason....so when the starters have problems.....or injuries we can count on positive minutes from them. Well none of the starters played particularly well and Dyess is still struggling....and we dont use Max and Delfino enough.

Re: Game Thread: Pistons vs Pacers: Dec. 29/06

I really didn't understand why Coach went back to playing Flip when Delfino came out. Delfino was doing well enough that he should have been working with a two man shooting guard rotation, there is no need to force Flip in there for an extended amount of time when by the time Delfino is tired, Hamilton is ready to go.

I didn't think Dale Davis did too bad out there. He got some boards and a couple blocks. He did no worse than our starters did at times.

What's the deal with McDyess. Everynow and then he shows glimpses of how he was so crucial to our success last year. But then he acts like he doesn't even deserve to be on the floor. I'm just waiting for him to shake off this slump.

We could be waiting a while, although Dice did show eneergy and hustle when he was on the floor with Max. Dice is too hit and Miss this season. He needs to either come with the same energy and hustle every night? or be prepared to be put behind Max in the rotation.
