Re: Game Thread: Pistons @ Grizzlies: Mar. 3/07
In all likelihood Rudy Gay will get the start long before Chucky Atkins, but his picture was not available. Lawrence Roberts started Friday's game for them over Swift too - What's that? No I don't know who he is either.

Re: Game Thread: Pistons @ Grizzlies: Mar. 3/07
I have a strange feeling we will see Rasheed in this game. Normally I don't see any reason for him to play against a team like this but the Pistons will make sure they get a win in this back to back. I might be wrong but thats my gut feeling as of now.
Wouldn't mind seeing Max get a start if not as he would matchup much better this game then he would have against the heat.

Pistons win 92-89
Maxiell got the start played 11.33 minutes shot 2 of 5 from field 1 of 2 free throws 5 points 2 boards (both offensive) 2 blocks 1 steal 3 turnovers
Balanced effort scoring but not a great free throw shooting night. 14 of 21 even though Billups was 8 of 9

Re: Game Thread: Pistons @ Grizzlies: Mar. 3/07
I didn't get to see it. Mostly checked the boxscore while trying to study. I was a bit nervous that it was so close all the time, and I saw that Gay missed a three at the end that would've tied it, they got the offensive board (story of the night), and they probably missed another attempt at the end since we won. Boxscore BS time!
Billups had a nice game, got to the line a lot (I'm mystified that he goes there so often sometimes), kept turnovers low. Overall, a decent rebound from the disaster of yesterday. McDyess was big, he had 5 blocks and 8 rebounds. Prince was also good for offense, but he missed some free throws (wonder if he's having a problem there, he missed some at the end of the Chicago game). Max didn't distinguish himself, sadly.
We kept their percentages low, but they got so many offensive boards that it was still close. Who the hell is Lawrence Roberts? It's hard to win games when you're giving up that many offensive rebounds. We did win (thankfully), but it shouldn't have been that close.

C Bills gets a lot of FTs off of techs- defensive 3s, etc. Also, he gets fts when in the bonus on the perimeter- such as a big man not moving his feet out there on a screen.
Tayshaun came up super big tonight

Re: Game Thread: Pistons @ Grizzlies: Mar. 3/07
This game made me really nervous, we had some trouble rebounding but overall we showed a decent effort. Chris Webber makes me cringe when he shoots jumpers but when hes down low no one can stop him.
