Pistons @ Clippers

Well this game wasn't televised locally or nationally (which is ridiculous) so I'm guessing no one watched it, except Roscoe who said he'd be attending the game.

Looks like we killed them going by the box score. Pistons 98 - Clippers 80.
Maxiell started for Rasheed, who got his 16'th tech vs Denver for saying "Ball don't lie."

Looks like we all shot well except for Tayshaun and Murray.
Webber 7-12 fgs 19 points 11 rebounsd
Maxiell 4-6 fgs 9 points 2 rebounds 4 blocks 4 fouls 35 minutes
Tayshaun 4-13 fgs 8 points
Hamilton 10-12 fgs 23 points 5 assists
Chauncey 6-12 fgs 17 points 12 assists 6 rebounds 4 steals 1 block
McDyess 6-9 fgs 17 points 6 rebounds 2 blocks 0 fouls 24 minutes
Murray 1-6 fg 2 points 4 assists 21 minutes
Delfino 1-2 fg 3 points 3 rebounds 3 assists 15 minutes
No one else played.

I guess it should be expected we'd crush a poor Clipper team that lost Livingston. Chauncey seemed to crush Jason Hart by the stats.

I included the bench minutes along with Maxiell who started because I don't understand the minute distribution. Shouldn't our 6'th man McDyess be the one getting the minutes with Sheed gone? He had a better game in less time.

And why does Delfino get 15 minutes when we only go 8 deep and we blow out the other team...? He should be playing more than Murray. Besides tonight I think he earned more time than this and he is the back up for Rip and Tay and he barely plays. Last season nearly everyone used fatigue as an excuse and having no bench and so they didn't get enough rest. So why the hell don't we give them rest now???

Man I hate Flip's rotation (and other things but I'll leave them out for now).

Maxiell is a lean mean shot blocking machine

I think he is trying to keep Murray content.

Re: Pistons @ Clippers

The game is actually on TV20 now. They tape delayed it. How lame.

I think giving him a chance to see if he does any better is a good idea. He will play himself out of the PG rotation most likely. Blalock will get a chance at that point.

Re: Pistons @ Clippers

I didn't even know Hart was on the Clips.

Everyone played well, and Rip and Chauncey recovered nicely from their slumps (hey, if players are doing what I say, maybe I should tell them to do things more often. Sheed, stop getting techs and use your damn post game). Dice was great off the bench, and Maxiell did well defensively even though I'm not sure that he can handle the starting job right now (as JoeD said, McDyess might have been a better choice, not that it mattered in the end). I'm all for letting Maxiell develop, though.

We did well to neutralize Brand and Kaman (although Kaman is pretty crappy this year). We didn't really foul them either, which is weird because they have Maggette (and Brand, although he's been on the free throw line less than last year).

Hopefully, these last two games give us momentum into the coming weeks. On the 16th through the 23rd, we play 5 games, the Texas triangle, the Suns, and Philly (okay, this one isn't so bad, although they're playing pretty well lately). Houston and San Antonio is a back to back, probably among the worst you can get. I'd be happy if we won three of those five.

After that, we primarily play Eastern teams, although that includes the Cavs and two games against the Bulls.
