Pistons vs. Spurs
Rasheed just got a tech for commenting on a foul that Rip got, I don't know what he said. Rip apparently hurled Bowen to the ground from 10 feet away or something, that or Bowen tripped.
Another 1st quarter disaster. We start games horribly horribly bad. Do we have a big problem?

Re: Pistons vs. Spurs
Our bench brought us back into the game again, although Rasheed was as big of a part of that as anyone.

Re: Pistons vs. Spurs
I'm amazed we have a 2 point lead at the half. I almost felt like using an exclamation point
Rasheed had 17 first quarter points. He and the bench > the other starters.
On a bad note, I almost got a poster of McDyess blocking Duncan. He was about to do a monster swat but Duncan got a pass off.
Anyone see when McDyess got a swipe and tried to save the ball going out of bounds, then this little girl stood up where McDyess was making a hustle play and McDyess stopped so he didn't risk touching her. Interference! She should be ejected!

Re: Pistons vs. Spurs
Sheed and Parker are dominating this game. Much quicker pace than a usual Spurs vs Pistons matchup.

Parker has been crazy good. He gets inside so well and doesn't miss.

Re: Pistons vs. Spurs
Was that lay up McDyess got at the end a pass or a botched shot?
I'm atleast happy with McDyess (18 points, 8-13 fgs, 11 rebs 4 offensive, 1 assist and 3 blocks) and Rasheed (21 pts 7 rebs 1 stl 1 assist 2 blocks).
Anyone else notice that we were better when Flip Murray replaced Chauncey? I thought Chauncey was benched for a while, he didn't get in the game until 2:30 to go. Chauncey was 3-10 tonight, 0-4 3 pointers, 2 assists and 2 turnovers. And he was a huge defensive liability against Parker. Admittedly he had a good show in the last 2 minutes for whatever it is worth.
If we played well in 1st quarters we'd be an elite team. First quarters and horrible 3 point percentage have been the biggest reason for losing these past 2 games.

To me it looked like Chauncey was trying to draw the foul and McDyess bailed him out.
Rasheed played well for pretty much the whole game but I thought he was trying to do too much in the last five minutes of the game. He took some pretty crazy shots when the ball should have been going to Chauncey and/or Rip.
Ironic Sequence of the Game: Tim Duncan makes two clutch free throws and Rip misses two.
I hope to see you guys in the Finals. Good luck the rest of the season.

I thought the same thing, but I was also thinking the same thing about when Delfino was in. Delfino just brings the level of intensity up on defense and he hustles like a mad man. He is a very good rebounder too. I thought Murray played well, but he is almost invisible when a shot goes up, Im not sayin he has to rebound, but at least block someone out......and where is Maxiel???
