Brign back the old school?
Grant Hill, Jerry Stackhouse, and Corliss Williamson are all free agents this year. Do we consider bringing any of them back? I'd love to have Grant back. He would bring us alot off the bench, and he would have no problem with it. Corliss would be nice, but we have a deep enough front. I doubt Jerry is set on returning to us, I bet he stays with Dallas depending on how they do this year. Your thoughts?

They would be entertaining to bring back, if we're contenders next year. Even though Corliss has handled Maxiell this year I think Maxiell is basically the new Corliss and we shouldn't have two.

Re: Brign back the old school?
Both Hill and Stack would make good pieces, but Corliss is somewhat superfluous given the makeup of our team right now. Hill could do well to back up Prince, although a small forward backup is something we might be able to address with one of our picks. He's still a good player, using his smarts to get good shots and draw fouls, but his athleticism is waning to say the least, and he's strangely turnover prone. He's also missed some time due to injuries, so he is still a bit inconsistent there. The Magic might be better to start playing Ariza more.
I have a hard time seeing Stack leaving. Dallas has a great shot at the title this year, and I think he's going to stay unless they really lowball him or if Dallas implodes in the playoffs. He'd make a great scorer off the bench, and though he's not much of a passer, he's shown his ability to score in bunches.
Those two would be good in solidifying the bench, but our flexibility is dependent on how much Billups commands this summer. There's also Webber to think about.
Stackhouse probably won't be too happy with a big paycut, but Hill just came from the end of a huge one, so I can see him signing a short and reasonable contract here, if he so chooses.

Re: Brign back the old school?
Corliss isn't going to really help us as he would just be taking away minutes from the youth of the team. he is years past the 6th man of the year award.
I wasn't a fan of Stack when we had him originally and I doubt he wants to leave Dallas. Odds he takes the vet's minimum about the same as him wanting to play here.
GHill would be a welcomed addition just because he tried so hard when he was a Piston. If would take a one year one million deal, I would give him minutes. CWebb and/or Dice will be accounting for our MLE.

It feels good knowing McDyess, Webber, and Grant will play for close to nothing to help win a ring.

If Dice doesn't opt out, Webber takes the MLE, we could give Hill the LLE if he just wants to win. Then depending on Hunter, a guy like Chucky might be possible for the vets minimum.

Re: Brign back the old school?
Dice has said he'll retire when his job in Detroit is done.

Re: Brign back the old school?
I would take Grant Hill back for sure. (One name: Arnie Kander)
Stack won't leave Dallas most likely.
And as someone else said we already have J-Max so we don't need Corliss they are to much alike.

Re: Brign back the old school?
It would be great to get Grant Hill back cause he can still play but nowhere close to what he used to.
