J. Rich prefers the Pistons?!

J-Rich Prefers Bulls Or Pistons If He's Dealt?

Chicago Tribune -
Jason Richardson has reportedly been dropping hints that the Warriors infatuation with Monta Ellis will lead the Warriors to trade Richardson after the season.

Richardson is telling friends he's hoping for a trade to the Pistons or Bulls.
Now that would be awesome, but is it even possible?

Re: J. Rich prefers the Pistons?!

Mohammad and Flip could be packaged with another player probally like Hunter's salary and it would work. Would that help GS at all? Nope

I think they'd bite before they got Al Harrington. Oh well :-\

Re: J. Rich prefers the Pistons?!

Can someone give the status of JRich after his injury? Is he 100% back, and if not, will he be?

Re: J. Rich prefers the Pistons?!

I don't think he's back yet, his hops are still a bit off, and he's been relying on his jumpshot. He also never gets to the line anymore, which is a sign that his explosiveness isn't back. He's rattled off some good games (like the one against us! Damn it), but it's pretty clear he's not 100% yet.

I don't know if the Warriors would be wise to let him go for Ellis. Monta is certainly a talented scorer, but his game to game consistency just isn't there, whereas Jason pretty much carried the team on his back night in and night out the year before. This year is pretty much a wash for him, but I expect him to recover by next year.

I can't see Golden State biting on anything we can reasonably offer, unless we want to trade away a starter or someone like Maxiell. I like him a lot, but probably not that much.

Yeah, JRich has a big contract, so we'd have to return about 10 million and they'd expect good players. I only see that happening if we are doing a large restructuring of the team, rebuilding or some other major shake up.

Like, Rasheed Wallace for JRich straight up. We are overflowing with big men, they could use a legitimate PF like Rasheed. That could be a great fit for GS. For us, it depends. First we need to resign Webber and keep McDyess. Then we have Webber/McDyess/Maxiell/Nazr/Johnson up front (I assume Davis is gone no matter what), which could be really good. I'm just putting this out there I don't want to trade Rasheed and I really don't know what JRich could do for us, but I imagine this would be a good team:
Webber/Nazr/McDyess
McDyess/Maxiell/Johnson
Tayshaun/Delfino/Dupree(?)/Thadeous Young(?)
Rip/JRich/Murray/Hunter
Billups/Murray/Acie Law(?)/Hunter

Just look at the bench... Nazr, Maxiell, Delfino, JRich, Murray. Is there a better bench anywhere else? I don't know how happy JRich would be on the bench, but I like the idea of someone legitimately pushing Tay and Rip for minutes, to make them play harder

Golden State is also a sign and trade possibility for Billups if he doesn't want to return, sending him for JRich or Baron (though that really wouldn't make sense as a S&T since they are both FAs), though that isn't very appealing.

Even if we add Mad Max, we still need Mohammad, Flip and probally Hunter's salary to make it work with the cap. They won't do a 4 for 1 and if they add more players back at us we would need to add more salary. J Rich makes too much for us to make this work unless we were to sign and trade Billups getting a big enough trade exception back.
