No one cares about this now, but I'm glad McDyess out jumped James, he's only an inch taller. If winning the opening tips is worth anything we should start McDyess for 2 minutes to get the tip. Rasheed has been outjumped on almost every tip, even by some really nonathletic guys.

One thing that I've noticed is that it seems like McDyess has very long arms for his height. He can really get up and block some shots in the lane because of his length.

Also, I wouldn't expect to win too many jump balls against the Cavs. I think Z is one of the best in the entire league at winning jump balls. I guess that's what happens when you're a long 7'3".

McDyess has gotten jump balls over Yao Ming a couple of times.

Ilgauskas is insane at opening tips. I read somewhere that he was like 68-13 one year. Big asset for overtimes.
