sheed played his *** off this series he was the one piston who looked like he wanted to win from game 1-6 when sheed was going off I was happy as hell he was gettin jobbed all night I was thinking I'd of done the same thing at the time, but that was about 10 beers in

Rasheed was Detroit's best player in the series and looked like he cared more about winning than anyone else on the team. I'm happy he documented his anger about the way things were going on the floor, the refs completely undermined him in that game.

If he leaves Detroit they are completely done.

I agree. He was our best player through out the entire playoffs too.

Rasheed should have been pissed. But why did he go take out Lebron? I would have preferred Varejao if it must be done

However, I think we are done either way.

Unless we have some surprisingly good draft picks, and that Cheikh Samb guy turns out to be a capable center, and our young players improve while stuck in their limited minutes, and none of our guys get worn down with age... Heh, that is a lot, and I think we'd need about all of it to contend. In the old days I would of said we just need a better coach but that isn't an option.

I see no reason why if they keep everything together they wouldn't be at least as good as they were this year after adding a couple first rounders and possibly making a Nazr trade or MLE deal. Anytime you get to the conference finals you are at least giving yourself a chance, you don't break up a team that has proven itself capable of consistantly winning multiple playoff series every year. You never know when somebody is going to get unexpectadly hot (Gibson), an elite team in your conference gets upset freeing up the road (Dallas), or a team will get set back by injuries (Miami). And I don't think Davidson is going to be too enthusiastic about breaking up a team that gets him 8-12 home playoff games a year.

People seem to be confusing the way Rasheed was ejected with the way he performed. If it wasn't for the way he played in Games 1 and 2, Detroit probably wouldn't have even won the two games that they did.

With Ben gone, Webber on his way out, and McDyess slowly degrading to a purely rebounding/hustle role (although he's still great at that), Rasheed is as irreplaceable as ever.
