Seems like the current roster needs to get a little younger and deeper.

JO seems like one option.

One possible trade is Rasheed Wallace and Billups for JO and Tinsley

Could also seen Wallace going to the Lakers for Kwame Brown and Andrew Bynum.

Either one of those trades. plus you have two first rounders and an MLE to add some depth and retool. Standing pat and trying to come back with the same roster (even if you resign billups and webber) wouldnt be enough. however I like what webber brought.

would be cool to see him start with JO up front next year

considering billups is a free agent and you are getting back tinsley I say its a great deal. JO isnt old at all. he still has a lot of game left. and in previous years he was considered a legit MVP candidate. its a great trade. especially if you bring back cwebb. cwebb likes the high post and JO likes the low post. it would be a huge move.

I'd do the trade for JO. Tinsley kind of makes me nervous, though.

Man I'd love to have a front court of JO and Maxiell, splitting minutes with McDyess and Amir. That'd be sweet.

Whatever happens I hope we are making moves to contend. Rebuilding sucks. If we do rebuild I hope it is only for one year.

maxiell is a role player. Its going to take JO plus Webber and Prince to having a contending front court.

I've watched Tinsley since he was at Iowa State. He doesn't really make me nervous at all. I've been dissappointed in him at times. He certainly has shown serious flashes of his ability, but he's all delt with some nagging injuries and off the court issues.

Bottomline he may have done a few things that annoy you, but he's never gotten in any major trouble. Remember he was carrying the team in the games after the brawl with you guys.

His first year in the league he averaged 8 assists. He is capable of 8 or even 10 assists a game. While also scoring double figures. He also has a nose for the ball, gets a lot of steals.

It would be an interesting experiment... getting Tinsley on a new team. Especially detroit where he will be expected to distribute (take good shots) and play tough D.

I'd make sure I had a good backup (like say Anthony Johnson) but I would do the trade in a second.


15, 27, 57. Three draft picks to also add to your depth. Could end up with Acie Law or Javaris Crittenton at 15. I think the spurs want Alando Tucker at 28, so detroit could take him at 27. Pruitt could be available at 27 too.

It would be nice if the Pistons could land Noah, but he will go to a lotto bound team. Id look to move up in this draft if I was detroit.

Anyways they have 3 picks to ad to their depth.

Also look at the MLE with guys like Mo Williams and M Pete.

It can be a fast turnaround. Dumars can pull it off.

Yeah, Maxiell is a role player. It's good to have a starter as a role player if surrounded by legitimate first options. Maxiell is a very special role player too. Him and JO could really overpower people.

You may be right about Tinsley. It seemed when Indiana was in there recent times over underachieving that he wasn't helping matters. I don't know, I didn't watch much Indiana this year.

i just see a lot of opportunity offensively for the team i just mentioned. You have JO demanding double teams down low. Chris Webber is an excellent passer out of the high post, and of course he can hit the shot. Prince's offensive game has flourished. Rip is the guy running all over the floor running through picks a la Reggie Miller. And in Tinsley you have a guy the can run a show like that.
