I kept hearing after Carlisle got fired one of the reason was his refusal to play young players..


O.K. fine but then why hire Larry Brown? he has NEVER played younger players decent minutes.. hes the same way as Carlisle hed rather play a less talented veteran who understands his gameplan then play a more talnted rookie.. anyone who thinks Darkos gonna get minutes is dreaming.. and hes not gonan just throw players like Prince and Okur in the line of fire an give em great minutes...


Brown likes players better who are offenisively challenged but hustle and play defense over guys who can score which means hell play Michael Curry as much as Carlisle did..

To me brown and carlisle have allto of the same phliosophies..

You may be right about what Brown would prefer to do, but I don't see why Joe D. would hire a new coach to do all the same things that the players complained about with the old one. I think it's pretty safe to assume that Brown knows what he has to do next year.

Prince and Okur have already been thrown in the fire and proved what they can do. They can be counted on what are you talking about? Right now noone on the Pistons understands Brown's system more than anyone else because none of them have played under him. What's makes you think Michael Curry will understand it better than Mehmet or Tayshaun (who they say is one of the best students of the game on the team).

Don't forget that when that "Carlisle doesn't play young players" line came out right after he was fired. It was pretty much the only thing the media could come up with as a tangible excuse to his firing, since no one had heard about all the other crap he'd done inside the organization (read Mitch Albom's article on it).
