Pistons Could Add Webber Soon
Boston Globe -
Quote:
The Pistons saved a ton of money (around $20 million) in a deal Friday that sent Nazr Mohammed to Charlotte for Primoz Brezec and Walter Herrmann. The contracts of both imported Bobcats are up at the end of this season, while Mohammed is owed more than $19 million over the three years beyond this one.
Mohammed didn't get a lot of playing time for the Pistons, but likely will move into the starting center spot for Charlotte. The Pistons had to release Ron Dupree to make room for the new twosome, and there is talk now that they could bring in Chris Webber for the veteran's minimum without incurring the luxury tax.

I'm okay with it. Amir just isn't ready to contribute yet.

Re: Pistons Could Add Webber Soon
I don't think they are going to bring him back unless somebody gets hurt. I like him and all, but I think his presence would just be a distraction as the 4th big man. It just wouldn't seem right.

Detroit News -
Quote:
According to Chris McCosky in his blog on Detroit News, Joe Dumars has said that the rumor by ESPN.com's J.A. Adande that Chris Webber could re-join the Pistons by as early as January is untrue.
According to McCosky, Dumars has told Webber's representatives this week that he is content with the roster as it is and has no immediate intentions of changing it.

Re: Pistons Could Add Webber Soon
And he end with Warriors. Is Webber a good fit for them?

Re: Pistons Could Add Webber Soon
I can't see how Webber can keep up on such a run and gun team. It's a head-scratcher for me.
