12.19.07 - Detroit Pistons @ Boston Celtics
Pistons fans may recall that it was a short two seasons ago that at this point in the year we were 20-3 and the toast of the league, looking like the runaway favorites to win us a ring unless the big-bad-West got in the way. Right now the Boston Celtics are 20-2 and the toast of the league, looking like the runaway favorites to win themselves a ring unless the big-bad-West gets in the way.
Interesting parallel.
When we were 20-3 we also had one home loss. Lets make them 20-3 with one home loss.

Watched it all and I have to say it was great to see the Pistons show the NBA on national TV that Boston isn't unstoppable in the East.

Only I predicted boston would win 92-87. 87-85 close enough.
C's need a deeper bench and Paul Pierce coulda done better things with the ball late in the game.

What makes me really excited is that fact that within a week we should have our supposed-sixth-man back. Rodney Stuckey is the most talented young player on the Pistons, and he hasn't played yet this season after a, like, 13p-4r-4a-1s preseason in short minutes. He's going to make Detroit so much deeper and stronger.
Also, did anybody notice that despite a poor looking night in the box score, Detroit outscored Boston by *double digits* when Jason Maxiell was in the game? Absolutely fantastic! JASON MAXIELL EATS BABI | |
