Newly acquired Walter Herrmann AND Flip Murray on the pine in street clothes? It smells fishy...

I wouldn't read anything into it. Somebody has to be inactive. There are only 7 spots for bench players: Max, Afflalo, Stuckey, Lindsey, Hayes, and Amir are automatics. That only leaves one spot for Brezec, Flip, and Hermann. I think they are going with Brezec just because he's the only center on the roster (other than Samb).

Flip is great, but not for us. He needs the ball to score, and can't control the ball well in our offense. Stuckey & Afflalo will be ahead of him, and Lindsey Hunter never quits.

Would I be willing to see expirings+hayes for maggette? Yes. Would Maggette be comfortable as our sixth when he's starting in LA? Probably not. I like the roster, I don't want to see us dealing with a potential malcontent...

I totally agree with that point. Even though Primo is that productive I still don't think we should let our only center go for free. I say we wait till after the draft for anything major. We can find something good in there.
