I love Sheed. What a character and what a player.

You're talking about Chauncey Billups?

Wallace shoots 43% and averaged under 13 points and under 7 rebounds a game for a team in the Eastern conference.

A stupid vote, even if it was only for 5th place.

Sheed is more than just his stats. He's a leader. Without him, they wouldn't have won the title in 04.

The same could be said for Billups, and he has much better stats and controls the tempo of the game.

Sheed is such a leader that he gets tossed from play-off games.

Re: Rasheed Wallace got a 5th place MVP vote

Which of you mods moved this to the Pistons board?

Anyhow, I hope Billups is OK. He is clearly the MVP of Detroit, and the first quarter meltdown after he left helps prove his importance to the team.

Looks like Portland loves Sheed about as much as Lions fans still love Scott Mitchell...

Solid point. It would be one landslide victory after another for the Pistons if Sheed went down.

Re: Rasheed Wallace got a 5th place MVP vote

Scott Mitchell... what a bum. Seriously, though, I thought he was the absolute bomb (yes, I used that word) when I was a kid. This is in large part because I was a nascent sports fan of only like eight or nine when he had his one awesome year tossing all those scores to Herman Moore, Johnny Morton, Brett Perriman... Yep. That was when I thought Lindsey Hunter and Allen Houston were the most awesome scorer, Grant Hill was God, and Tony Mitchell had the greatest batting stance..... ever.

... on second thought, Tony Mitchell DID have the greatest batting stance ever.
