“I’ll make a significant trade,” Dumars, the Pistons’ president of basketball operations, declared. “… "We have a core group of guys here that for the first time in six years I’m letting teams in the league know I’ll do a deal. … I’m open for business.”

Oh **** Joe is open for business! Glad to see dumars is out for Blood!

I can't say I am not excited for this off-season.

Joe's probably somewhere trying to wipe the egg off his face for the Chauncey Billups contract.

I'm with you. Shortly after those two would be Rip & Amir, but if the right deal shows up...

i would definitely hold onto amir. he's still young and has alot of potential.
as for rip, i would like to see him go. i think he makes our offense stagnant at times when two three guys are setting screens for him. our offense is becoming to predictable in some ways.

If anything Rip helps our offense through those droughts when no one else can seem to hit. My only knock on Rips game is when he isos and thinks hes Jordan. I think part to blame for the predictability was Flips awful offensive system by just doing what the defense gives you.

Re: "I’ll make a significant trade"
I don't see any reason why we need to lose Rip unless we're getting a great deal for him.
Sheed is going this season. Billups might go as well. Knowing Dumars, i don't think he is going to trade anyone but fillers outside of them two.

Re: "I’ll make a significant trade"
Would be dope to see them trade someone for a high pick.
I used to be a kind of Piston fan when Big Ben was on the team, he provided some spark.. now Stuckey's Mr. Electric. Another baller young guy would be great.

yeah get on the stuckey bandwagon man it's going to awesome
it would definitely be intriguing to acquire a high pick. it would generates alot of excitment when with talented yet unknown rookie coming into play. personally for me, i hate this draft. there's just way too many tweeners and i dont see any star potential out there with the exception of derrick rose. (sorry beasley, i think youre gonna be a bust)
