I knew this guy was good, watching his college days for Eastern Washington, but damn. He's turned into a pretty damn good NBA player.

He will play for about 15 years, and win 14 titles, 12 MVP's and put up stats that relative to his era are so enormously dominant that the league will attempt to alter the rules to help create more parity in the NBA, but it won't be possible. A player so utterly dominant that the game will forever be changed.

he's going to be good, but he's been playing like an airhead the past two games, the 40 point game has inflated his self-perception a little. To be fair, so has AI, but the pistons have been having big problems with their backcourt getting the ball to the right people at the right time. They've been giving it to Amir on the perimeter, missing him open on the inside, giving Sheed the ball too late... I'm not sure if this is something he'll grow out of or a sign that maybe he's meant to be more of a combo style SG than a point.

Ball movement does continue to be an issue, but Stuckey hasn't really been playing outside of his game too much. I don't see what you mean by an inflated sense of self perception. He hasn't been remarkably efficient, but he hasn't been inefficient either. He's taken 28 shots and scored 28 points, which isn't horrible. It isn't quite 40 points on 24 shots, of course. But getting him 10-14 shots per night isn't really outlandish by any means. He also has a 2:1 assist-to ratio, 5apg during the two games. 14/5 with 4 boards isn't really all that ridiculous. Tonight he had 16/6 with 1to, 6 boards, and they won by 11. I'll take that.
edit: On another note he only had 1 turnover against one of the top turnover producing teams in the NBA. Only the Jazz create more turnovers with their defense.

The numbers are fine, but he and Iverson were missing open big men left and right, and giving sheed the ball too late, which led to a poor shooting night from him. It's not that he's bad, it's more that I'm wondering if he's quite a point guard.
I will agree with that, timing was definitely off... but I think that that has to do with growing up as a point guard. He's relatively new as a member of the first team. It took time for AI to get used to hitting Rip where he wanted the ball, and now that Stuckey is a starter it'll take him probably 10-15 more games of regular PT with the other starters to really get a feel for playing with them as a unit.
