Wow what was I thinking or drinking for that matter when I made this prediction

We wouldn't have Rasheed Wallace.

I'm happy where we are.

Option 1: Carmelo Anthony
Option 2: Tayshaun Prince, Rasheed Wallace, Darko Milicic

No one in their right mind would choose 1 over 2. And Prince is NOT a bench player.

Interesting theory, but what if the Pistons fall short of a championship this year, and Rasheed signs elsewhere? Still happy with the pick?

Just curious. I can't imagine any team not wanting Anthony for the next 5 years or so.

If Darko turns into what he is supposed to be, then yes, I'd much rather have Darko than Melo. Joe D. has a plan and it doesn't end if Sheed leaves the Pistons.

Darko (if he lives up to his potential) + Prince > Melo + Prince

Once Tayshaun realizes how good he can be and starts playing more aggressive, people around the league will start to see he is a very solid player.

I personally think he is capable of being a career 15/5/5 player, but he may never reach that because of the other players we have on our team. Not to mention that he is also an exceptional defensive player.

Another thing nobody has really talked about with regards to Carmelo-I'll admit that I haven't watched a lot of Nuggets games this season, but everyone talks about how their offense is so good in transition but crappy in the half-court. Well, I have watched a lot of Pistons games, and the Pistons are using half-court offense virtually the entire time. Would Carmelo be as effective playing so much half-court, and being the 2nd or 3rd instead of the first option on the team?

the way i see it, Pistons are a lock for the Number 2 seed, and the Nets are #1 if Mourning and Kidd stay healthy. After that, it looks like Magic at 3, Hornets at 4(healthy Baron) 76ers at 5, Pacers at 6, Bulls at 7, and 8 probably going to Washington since they have Arenas. Other possibilities are the Celtics or the Knicks. But as I see it, thats how the East will play out.
Ehm, i don't think that that's quite correct
