If Brad Miller goes to Utah
You can pencil in the pistons as the central division champs again. Meaning we won't be any worse then the second seed next year in the playoffs. The only thing that is going to be exciting this year is darko.

They were the only team in our division that I thought could challenge us too. They lose an all-star and still have Tinsley starting so it looks like a 3-peat.

Where Miller signs, Utah or Denver, doesn't have much of a bearing on the thread's point

the way i see it, Pistons are a lock for the Number 2 seed, and the Nets are #1 if Mourning and Kidd stay healthy. After that, it looks like Magic at 3, Hornets at 4(healthy Baron) 76ers at 5, Pacers at 6, Bulls at 7, and 8 probably going to Washington since they have Arenas. Other possibilities are the Celtics or the Knicks. But as I see it, thats how the East will play out.

hobo, it's different but I kinda agree, except I want Detroit at 1. If MJ can't take the Wiz to the playoffs, then neither can Arenas, Celtics will be in.

If New Orleans is healthy, they are a bigger threat than Indiana. Granted, New Orleans is never healthy so right now I think Detroit has to be considered the strong favorites. I look for the battle for the #1 seed to come down to New Jersey, Detroit, and Orlando.

The Pacers starting lineup is awesome but our bench is shot to hell. However, there is still free agency and trading so we can still add some players. If we get Jason Terry, and Elden Campbell, the east better watch out.

Campbell will be dirt cheap and we don't HAVE to resign Reggie.

But Campbell and Terry is not cheap and the Pacers won't have enough room to sign both of them.
