Isiah Out Carlisle In?

I heard on the radio that Isiah is out as coach of the pacers. Carlisle was one of Bird's assisants in Indiana when he was coach. If Carlisle is the new coach of the pacers this will easily turn this into the biggest rivarly in the NBA.

I would hate to see that, as I wanted Carlisle to replace Scott next season.

I would hate to see it because I didn't want Carlisle to coach in the East again. But this would turn the rivalry up another notch.

Maybe Carlisle will go to coach Indiana just to get revenge on the Pistons Ummm, why did we fire him anyway?

Bird said his first choice to replace Thomas was Rick Carlisle, but added that no deal had been reached.

Carlisle was an assistant during Bird's time as Indiana's coach. Carlisle spent the past two seasons as coach of the Detroit Pistons before being fired in May.

"Probably today or tomorrow, probably today, we will talk with him," Bird said.

I remember reading in a Larry Bird autobiography that they were really close when they played on the Celts.

Brown has excellent people skills. He helped or tamed AI and DC as well as anyone could expect, I don't see why the Pistons went after him.

Although players do respond to him, remember the all-star game victory he stole from the West?
