Michigan State and Michigan both have some excellent talent. Reason why I think so, is because MSU is very young this year outside of Smoker. They will replace him quite easily as he is ok, he isn't that great. But MSU will be returning like 18 starters next year plus they have a strong red-shirt freshman class and last but not least John L. Smith likes to throw the ball and try to score a lot of points. With the kind of talent MSU has, I don't see why they won't be at the top of the conference next year. Though going to Michigan will be hard.

Cool... like I said, I don't know too much until the season starts and gets going... I hope you didn't just get my hopes too high that they can't stand up to them next year...

I don't really hate MSU, I hate playing MSU at MSU usually. Even though I am a huge Michigan fan, the only time I really hate MSU is when we play football there, because we seem to always lose on a fluke or get cheated (clock fiasco).

Smoker is gone next year but their redshirt freshman QB Drew Stanton is going to be REALLY good. He was a top 10 prospect coming out of high school, he's fast, he's tough, and he has a rocket for an arm. He is the personal protector on the punt team and there was one game where he had 3 or 4 tackles.
He also won a state championship two years ago at Farmington Hills with Aqim Shabaj, who just happens to be MSU's best receiver as a sophmore. Those two are going to be a major combo in the next couple years.

I repeat my statement from earlier. When Michigan plays their game, they can beat any team in the country. Unfortunately, with two losses they can't prove that.

With a running game like that it's hard to lose. I was surprised they even threw the ball at all.

Those dropped passes helped too. Every last one of MSU's recievers should get extra laps along with the defense...

Maybe next year Spartans, maybe next year.
Oh yeah, you're coming to Ann Arbor!

Loosing Eric Smith tjhat early in the game was HUGE. He is a great run stopping strong safety and I think the major reason Chris Perry was able to do what he did was Smith being out. His backup was also completely lost out there and missed his assignment on that wideopen touchdown pass.

Chris Perry was AMAZING, He didnt even look like he would be able to get up after those last couple carries and did you see his jersey, man was it dirty
Anyone know who Michigan will have at RB next year? If only Perry was a JR.....

I would have to guess Underwood will be the starter with Rembert and Jackson getting some carries. And I'm sure there will be a freshman waiting in the wings.

He was laying on the ball so the refs couldn't whistle it in. He probably took at least 7 seconds every play where he would lay on the ball like that so the refs couldn't set it and start the play clock.
