Could we get Kobe...
This is not a rumor at all... and I doubt very seriously that we could get Kobe and I doubt that the Lakers will even trade him, but would you make a trade for Kobe if he actually was on the trading block. What about Rip, Memo, and a future first rounder for Kobe?

I think if Kobe was on the block, they could get a lot more.

I understand that, but I made this after reading about the Peja, Divac, and a 1st. Rip, Memo, and a future 1st from us would be about the same package. I don't think he'll get traded, but it's nice to dream right?

I would rather try to sign him out right next offseason and start him at the 3 spot. Not sure if giving up a solid 20ppg guard, a center with great potential and a future 1st rounder for a season with Kobe is worth it.

Actually, he has a high chance (I mean in comparison to 0%, not like a 90% chance) to be placed on the trading block later.
It looks like he won't resign with Shaq on the team (And it's not like they'll trade Shaq) so do they let him go for nothing at the end of the season. Kobe has had too many problems with Shaq and I'm sure he wants to get away. Or their other option is to trade him now and get something out of the deal.
Obviously he isn't worth as much now as last year. (I would think his trade value dropped atleast 25%) Where last year TMAC+more would get you Kobe, now it does not even require TMAC.

Why would he bring negative attention? I'm assuming he would get acquitted. Regardless to the aatention when he is playing he is argubly the best player in the league. Besides our fans get negative attention, so will it really matter if the team does?

Nothing to argue. Kobe Bryant is the best player in the league, when he's at 100% mentally and physically.
I'd give alot to get this guy, but would I completely gut the makeup (I.E. trading Rip, Memo, Wallace), I don't think so.

I'm assuming he'd be able to return to 100% health (mentaly and physically). But I would definitely trade Rip and Memo for Kobe... we found something we disagree on jvanbusk, that's different.

I'd do that, but I wouldn't trade Ben, Rip, and Memo for some Kobe package.

Kobe Bryant on the Pistons would be amazing, but I doubt we could get him unless we seriously screwed up our team. So it wouldn't be worth it. I would like it though.

I never included Ben in the package, I don't know where that came from.

Kobe's trade value is not very high now. As a matter of fact it couldn't possibly be any lower.
The Lakers could win a championship without Kobe.
He has said that he would opt out of his contract after this year.
You would be trading for only 1 guaranteed year.
If the Pistons offered: Tayshaun, Corliss, & Campbell for Kobe & 1 of their scrubs.
I think it would help both teams.
The Lakers would have:
Payton, Prince, Corliss, Malone, Shaq as starters.
George, Fisher, Campbell, Grant, Rush, Pargo, Walton, Cook off the bench.
Prince is from L.A. & could turn into a hometown hero. Eldon could be a great back up for Shaq. Corliss, Malone, & Shaq would be the most ridiculously strong front court ever.
The Piston would have:
Billups, Rip, Kobe, Ben & Memo as starters.
Chucky, Hunter, Darko, Sura, Zelly off the bench.
Stranger thing have happened, haven't they?
Bruisers will win the fantasy league!!
GO STATE!!
