Game Thread: Pistons@Heat
Detroit Pistons vs. Miami Heat
 vs.
Pistons:
Heat:
Note: Udonis Haslem may start instead of Malik Allen
We really need this win, no offense to Miami, but this is a team we should beat and I really don't want to go into Orlando an 0-2 team. Lamar Odom is day-to-day with an injured ankle, the rook Wade is also a little banged up, and they are a team with a lot going on with the injuries, a new coach, and being 0-2 ... perfect situation for us to go in and get a win.
PG- Wade vs. Billups
Wade has played very well in the first two games and he looks very comfortable on the court, he's a good defensive player and I wonder how much his injury is affecting his movements and the such. Billups is coming off a 3-17 outing from the other day, but these are the situations he shines in the most. When it comes down to it Wade is still a rookie and Billups a savvy veteran and better player. Edge: Pistons
SG- Jones vs. Rip
Eddie Jones is going to carry the offense for the Heat tonight if he's off it could be an easier game for us. Carrying the offense in addition to chasing Rip all day could wear him down. I fully expect Rip to come back and have a decent game. Even
SF- Wallace vs. Prince
Two tall linky forwards matching up here. I could see Wallace trying to use his size advantage to post Prince, but he just doesn't have the skills. If Prince plays anything like he did in the first game, Wallace won't be able to keep up with him. Edge: Pistons
PF- B. Wallace vs. Malik Allen
Do I really have to?
C- Campbell vs. Grant
Brain Grant may be smaller, but he is the better player. His rebounding numbers so far don't really tell the whole story of how good a rebounder he really is. Campbell played very well against the Pacers providing low post scoring along with Ben early on. Edge:
Bench: We have one of the better benches in the league, Miami isn't too deep. Nuff said. Edge: Pistons
Like I said earlier this is an important game, we need this win. We have a tough, tough schedule coming up and we need as many wins as we can get.

I think it is going to be a Pistons win because the Heat are just really unlucky right now. I don't even know if I would consider Eddie Jones even with Richard Hamilton not anymore. Go Pistons.

I just wanted to know how come they aren't starting Okur...i think that he is the real deal now and I think that he deserves a chance to shine but I think that campbell is not the answer that they are looking for....TAYSHAN IS THE MAN!!!!!
GO PISTONS!!

Came out strong, but stalled late in the first and early second. Up 47-38 at half. It seems like we should be winning by more.

Does anyone else think that Corliss is a waste? I mean I think that Memo, or rebracca could have got more looks and shots if he wasn't getting so much playin' time. I mean I don't think that he is a bad player or anything like that I just mean that I think that there are other players that deserve to get the ball more than that.

He isn't a waste, he's just a good low post scorer nothing more, nothing less. He's one-dimensional, but he's very efficient and effective in what he does. I liked what he did tonight, he gave us a nice lift. He plays SF anyway so him playing shouldn't really affect Rebraca's or Okur's minutes.

Yeah, I turned off the game with like 2 min left, and I didn't see Darko play.
What were his turnovers/foul like? Was it like a bad-pass, did he step out of bounds, etc?
