Rebraca...Okur...Milicic...
Are these guys overrated...They seem to be slowing down the pistons alot. They don't fit with the east shift to up tempo.

They aren't slowing down Detroit at all considering Darko has played 1 minute this season, Rebraca gets less than 10 minutes a game, and Okur is looking really good right now.
And besides, you only thing you need a center for in a running game is to get rebounds, and Okur and Darko are pretty solid rebounders.

Darko slowed down the Pistons running game in the 1 minute he played during three games against the Heat.

Okur moves pretty good for a big guy. I haven't seen enough of Darko but from what I understand he can run the floor. Zelly is slow but like mike luvs kg mentioned he only plays a few minutes a game anyways.

Memo had an off night. What's your point? Elden Campbell was feelin it so Okur didn't get in the game much. He still had 8 rebounds in 15 minutes.
And besides, Detroit is looking to run more this year but they are still very much a half-court team. And Memo and Zelly are both real good guys to have in the post.

I was going to say this too, plus he had 17 the other night... he's in his second year, but he didn't really get to play much early on in his rookie year, so he's catching up... he'll be fine.

the east shift to uptempo?thats a good one.the only name you need to be concerned with in that trio is milicic.if he's a bust it will go down as one of the biggest screwups in draft history.i have no idea what he can do as he doesnt seem to make it on the court very often.maybe they dont want to show the other teams too much.if this kid cant get minutes in the watered down nba of today they should have left him in europe and spent another year or two over there.imagine how big his legend would have become by doing that.

Did you not watch opening night? I mean memo was a beast. Also the reason that they don't get that many pts, is because Brown is trying to show corliss off so that they can trade him, so corliss is getting the majority of all the plays when the starters are out.

PistonFAN, I think that that arguement is flawed a little. I don't think Brown would put somebody out there to show them off so to speak. Players are put on the court to help win games. If Corliss is the best option he will play. If Memo is the best option in Brown's mind he will play. I don't think trade availability has anything to do with it.

jvanbusk, it's not a rare thing for coaches to do. It is done all the time in the NHL especially with back up goalies. Haha why do you think CuJo is playing. . I don't like that guy, he screwed my country, and I hate the Maple Leafs anyway.
Zelly and co. may not be fast but that doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad thing. John Stockton wasn't the fastest point guard, Ben Wallace isn't the tallest center. Maybe Detroit is trying to slow down the pace. Although I wouldn't know too much because I can't get even Pistons games. The Raptors on the other hand!

I think it would be a waste monetarily to not play Cujo.

Jvan- I didn't mean that Brown was just putting corliss on the court for that purpose I was just trying to prove that Memo/Rebracca/Darko are great players and are gonna be even better than everyone thinks....But you still the man!!!

And KABI, I understand that it's not uncommon....
In garbage minutes that is. When the game is on the line, the players that can best put the team in a situation to win are on the floor. Garbage minutes are sometimes used as a time to audition players.
