Billups Vs. Tinsley
Do anyone remember the month long agument we had with the Pacer fans about who was the better point guard?
Look at the numbers.
Pts 3pt% Fg% Ft% Reb Ast Stl
Chauncey: 21.9 46.1 42.3 92.4 3.6 6.0 1.4
Tinsley: 1.8 16.7 23.1 00.0 .8 1.8 0.0
Chauncey is putting up all-star numbers.

How could I forget. Pacersguy will not let it drop, even though his argumentation was probably the worst I've seen on these boards.

I like Tinsley a lot, but Tinsley over Billups is downright laughable.

All they're going to say is that Tinsley was better last year, because magically Tinsley forgot how to play.

One guy doesnt speak for all of us. I still stand by what I said that Tinsley is the better pure point guard. He has better court vision and is a far better distributor, but Billups is head and shoulders above him when it comes to scoring. Billups is the better player like I said before, but since the Pacers are stacked with guys who can score, Im still happy with having Tinsley.
Rick wont let him play for some reason, its not because he cant play, hes just in the dog house right now.

Dude, if Kenny Anderson is beating Tinsley out for the starting role, there's no way you can claim he is better than Chauncey. He is probably a marginally better "pure" point guard, but overall Chauncey leaves him in the dust.

Jacque Vaughn is one of the best "pure" PG's, but that isn't saying much. That argument is lame. Tinsley can't start over an aging veteran or a journeyman. Plain and simple Jamal Tinsley is not a good player right now and has been decreasing since his rookie year.

Man, I wish I'd seen this topic earlier. It's too late to resond now though. I apologize that you guys missed out on the opportunity to read my posts. Don't worry though, I'll post the next time this argument comes up. Although Billups has pulled ahead of Tinsley now, I'm confident that Tinsley will step up.
Disclaimer (for you sensitive people): Not trying to bait.
