Once Detroit players stopped getting called for looking at people funny Atlanta couldn't score anything. Free throws were the only reason they were even in the game to begin with.
Another pretty frustrating game, but at least tonight we played well down the stretch. The bad play can be chalked up to injury and not mental mistakes like last night, which is encouraging.
Tay has a huge game- proves he can be a second option, Chauncey gets some sweet redemption. All said and done, it was a good night.

I noticed that in the boxscore, too bad I didn't get to see the game. Looks like Tay really played well.

Tayshaun did play really well. He is SO diverse offensively. He can hit the three, he has a mid range shot, he can slash, he can dunk, he can post, and he has that awesome running hook shot. And he used it all tonight.
Tayshaun also dunked on Stephen Jackson and sort of dunked on Theo Ratliff (Theo got a hand on the ball but Tay had the strength to push it in anyway).
Down by 1 point with about 25 seconds to got, Chauncey hit two big free throws, and then two more the next possession. Proves that last night was a fluke.

Not a pretty win, but it was still a W, so the only complaint I will make is, is Chauncey under the impression that he is getting paid by the shot? 7-23? If our offense isn't doing anything and the clock is ticking, I have no problem with him just putting up the best shot he can. But when he's taking shots early in the shot clock when he's far from wide open and consistently missing, I'd like to see him pass more.

No need to be jealous because the Hawks haven't had a draft pick work out since 1999 when they got Terry, despite being a perenial lottery team.

Yeah right, I'm not jealous. Just saying, don't overhype a player to where he can't perform up to your expectations.

Tayshaun has been living up to my expectations since the moment he stepped into the Orlando Magic game. I was telling me friends all season how good he was and couldn't understand why Carlisle wouldn't play him. Then he gets a shot in the playoffs and performed like a 10 year veteran.
I'm not really trying to hype him or anything because we all know how good he can be. I definately don't expect him to score 20 a night, but that's because when Hamilton is healthy he's not really a priority in the offense. It's just nice to see that when called upon to pick up the scoring load he can do it.
