Pistons @ Washington
This game won't be as emotional as it could be if Stack was playing, but should still be interesting. The Wizards have one of the best backcourts in the East IMO and Jarvis Hayes is coming along nicely. Our frontcourt should be able to dominate them and if they do I think we will come away with the W. Hmm..just saw that Chris Whitney will be starting in place of Arenas. There's no excuse for the Pistons if they lose this one...

I think Darko could see a lot of time today, close game or not.

You'd think it'd be obvious that Corliss at the 4 isn't going to cut it when Brendan Haywood is tearing you up...

Didn't see the game again...
It sucks to be getting older and have no time to watch all the games anymore.

That's the kind of statement that crosses the line of constructive criticism to flaming status.

quit sticking up for these guys.this is the only coaching staff in the nba that wouldnt be playing the guy,hey i like the pistons and i think they should be estblishing some depth for the long haul,if ben goes down or campbell then you're stuck.almost nightly in this league there are guys that a 7-0 skilled player(darko)could compete with.all i'm saying is get him out there and give him a chance.if you dont like my posts all i can say is thats your problem.

I think just about every coaching staff in the league would have Darko on the bench.
Ben is better.
Elden is better.
Memo is better.
Corliss is better.
Zelly is better.
We don't play to lose in Detroit, maybe that's what they do in Denver and Cleveland, but not here. We've got players that are miles ahead of Darko, so guess what, they are going to get the PT.
And the point is, you know damn well that Darko will get more than 55 minutes this year.

Err...Jvan....Zelly is injured, therefore he is not better.
Corliss is a 3, therefore it doesn't apply.
But I'll give you Ben, Memo, and Elden.
Still, he SHOULD be playing atleast a bit.

Zelly is better when healthy.
Corliss has been playing 4 so far (not that I don't agree he should be playing the 3), and he's better at the 4 than Darko.

I don't know. We can't judge Darko when he gets 1 minute, every 3 games.
He needs 10 minutes to get into the groove of the game.
If you have sparatic minutes then you can't get a streak going.
Have you ever seen a RB who never ran a down before, come in at the middle of the game for one play and run it up for 80 yards?
It's the same concept, you're not used to it, you need to feel the ball in your hands for a couple minutes, get adjusted to the crowd, etc.
Let him play for 10 minutes when we play the Knicks, and then we'll see what he can do.
And as for Corliss, WTF IS HE PLAYING THE 4 FOR? I can't understand why Brown does that.
I made a mistake and edited your post while trying to quote you-- sorry bout that - DBN

All those guys are better than Darko... face it he looks lost when he's on the court, we have not had any blowout wins or losses yet so it's tough to get a guy who's lost soem time on the court
#2 pick or not.

The Pistons looked FLAT, I mean I am glad that we took the game over in the end but I mean I think that we need to work a lil bit better on the O game.

I'm not saying he looks like a superstar, but the last time I saw him play (A WHILE ago, the Kings game) He looked good.
I thought he deserved to play for 5 min a game after that point, especially when Zelly went on IR.
We have Ben, Memo, Corliss and Elden currently playing the 4+5.
96 Total minutes between the positions. Ben should take 36 of those. So 60 Minutes left. Corliss shouldn't be playing the 4 so he is absent. Then Memo deserves around 25-30 minutes and Elden can usually only play for around 20 minutes. That leaves a convienent 10 minutes for Darko, you could even make it 5.
I doubt having Darko on the court will ruin a game. I mean, Brown doesn't think having Fowlkes and Ham in at the end of a close game will ruin it.
Maybe I have to stop being such a damn Darko fan...and arguing with everybody. We ARE on the same side here.

Maybe Darko isn't ready for stardom, but I'd rather have him playing 10 minutes per game at the 4 and do nothing instead of having Corliss causing fouls and throwing the ball away at every chance. Plus, playing isn't really going to improve Corliss' skills, while Darko could stand to gain a lot from 10 minutes a game.
Although obviously the Darko situation gets more of the attention since he was the #2 pick, a more serious problem is the Memo situation. He was really posed for a break out season after playing very well while Ben was injured last season and should be in the running for 6th man of the year. Instead, he's averaging less than 24 minutes and is seeing Corliss Williamson, who has been horrendous at the 4 all season, still his minutes. Memo is a rebounding machine and has offensive talent that we really need. This guy really needs to be on the floor for more minutes.
