Minutes Per Game, Per Player, Per Position

All Players need to be on the list somewhere unless you think they should NEVER play.
All Positions should add up to 48 Min.

Point Guard
Chauncey 35 + Mike James 13 = 48

Shooting Guard
Rip 32 + Tayshaun 14 + Fowlkes 2 = 48

Small Forward
Rasheed 23 + Tayshaun 9 + Corliss 12 + Ham 4 = 48

Power Forward
Ben 25 + Rasheed 8 + Memo 12 + Darko 3 = 48

Center
Memo 15 + Ben 13 + Elden 10 + Rasheed 7 + Darko 3 = 48

By Player
Ben 38
Rasheed 38
Chauncey 35
Rip 32
Memo 27
Prince 23
James 13
Corliss 12
Elden 10
Darko 6
Ham 4
Fowlkes 2
Total minutes should = 240

I am interested to know what the rest of you think.
I will total up the stats if enough people respond.
Thanks

But, I gotta believe Prince plays more than 23 minutes, Memo plays less than 27 (for what reason, I don't know), and Corliss a little more than 12. Otherwise I probaly agree.

I think what D spartan is asking is how would you like to see the breakdown of minutes. As for mine I like D spartan's PG, SG, and SF minutes. I disagree with his 4 and 5 though I think it is to split up. Ben and Memo should play about 35 minutes at the 4 and 5 each. Have Elden, Rasheed and Darko taking the rest of the minutes.

No way Memo should be getting more minutes than Sheed.

Ben and Sheed need to be on the floor together as much as possible, if that means some young guys get their feelings hurt then so be it.

i would guess that memo's numbers are as good as sheeds per 48 minutes. i dont like just handing wallace the keys to the city. let him earn it. as for memo, brown seems to want to piss him off too, thus making it more likely he wont be back.

I think that's the case too. Memo seems to be pouting again and this time I think he is doing it rightfully so. Sheed has taken his spot after 1 and a half games. Memo's been here the whole year. On the other side, Sheed does need to start and it's a shame that it is coming at Memo
s expense.

I don't think Memo has a say in whether he comes back or not. I'm no salary cap expert or anything, but I think we have the right to match any offer for Memo. Essentially putting his fate with the team in Joe D.'s hands.

Numbers shmumbers.

Sheed is 3 times the defensive player Memo is and is a legit low post threat that other teams have to respect. All around, he is just a much better basketball player.

I know everybody loves Memo, but he really does need to get a lot smarter about his game. It seems like he always comes out strong in the first, playing the way Larry wants him to play, getting in the paint, drawing fouls, and looking like a monster. Then he comes out of the game and when he gets back in he goes back to forcing jumpers and looking for outside shots. Everyone wants to make excuses for him but the fact is he is not THAT good of an outside shooter, expecially considering the damage he could be doing in the post if he stayed focussed.

good response but the opposing camp will say when memo puts up big minutes he puts up big numbers. L.B. has a short fuse with the kid, looks like there is two sets of rules there. as for sheed i think it was a great pickup but i have seen most of the blazer games living in the northwest and he isnt the player he used to be. he wants to drift to the 3pt line and loses his focus in games, he was surpassed there by zach randolph to the point where he was nowhere near the #1 option. larry obviously loves him, so i'm sure he'll get max minutes and shots, i just wonder how much better they are because of it.

Memo puts up big numbers in big minutes because Larry only gives him big minutes when he is playing the right way.

Memo is one of my favorite players and is great at times, but he just seems really bipolar at times.

I wanna see him on the floor, but I strongly disagree with the sentiment that we HAVE to put him on the floor so as not to hurt his feelings and make him want to leave. Memo knows he will be a Piston longer than Larry Brown will and sometimes lets that show a bit in his game. No matter how much management loves a guy, they still have to play the right way.
