There was a little blurb in the GR Press this morning saying Darko will probably play in the Olympics, which would interfere with him playing on the Pistons Summer league team.

But the Associated Press says: "Milicic said there's a "99-percent chance'' he will be part of Serbia-Montenegro's team in the Athens Olympics. Pistons president of basketball operations Joe Dumars said Milicic might be able to play for Detroit's summer league team and participate in the Olympics.

I was just about to post this.

Hopefully he will be able to do both, I think he needs to play as much basketball as possible this summer. If he's going to play for his national team hopefully he doesn't just ride the bench the whole time.

you would almost want him to stick with the american game and play in the summer league but these guys are patriotic and want to play for their native country. doing both would be great.

Yes, I have mixed feelings about this too. I just want to see Darko play. In Serbia you have to respect your elders and I am afraid Darko will get playing time taken away from him just because he is young. In the summer leagues he would get a lot of playing time because it would help his development. FSD might pick up a couple of those games then, too. I just want what's best for Darko, and that's playing time.

Can you blame the guy he's prob. goin crazy for some courttime well that is like you said if they'd even put him on the court. I think it's fine that he plays I mean it's better then shaqs summer plans.
