ill say a more difficult, hard fought game, but we still win by around 10.

I honestly don't think we'll see anything like we saw in game one, but I think we'll win big. By at least 15!
Go Pistons!

A couple keys for us:
1. Come out fighting and expect the Nets best punch: No team wants to go down in a series 2-0, with the media seemingly writing them and their horrible shooting performance Monday the Nets will have something to prove and they will come out fired up. So this is the worst time for us to have a slow start. We have blown them out twice in a row and they still believe they are just as good as us. Sustain through their run today and beat them again (possibly another blowout) and they have to seriously doubt whether or not they can beat us. It won't be easy though, the Nets haven't been to the Finals the last two years by luck. That sounds cliche, but it is the truth. I hope we are prepared for a 48 minute battle.
2. Keep going at J. Kidd: Chauncey needs to put pressure on him offensively and then let the 'one man full court press' come in a put that great pressure defense on him. Don't let him rest or put his guard down when he's in the game. Make him continually run on that sore knee.
3. Keep the turnovers down: We had 19 turnovers last game, that is unacceptable. You can't kep expected to turn the ball over like that and win.
4. Keep their fastbreaks to a minimum: This one is self explanatory.

Down a dozen at halftime, officiating has been pretty awful both ways (Pistons got the calls early, Nets in the 2nd) but now we are letting it get to us. Both Rasheed and LB got techs on the same (bad) call -- The ref with the best look called a travel, but it was overruled by a ref without a good view and called a foul

Pistons with one of the best 2nd halves you will ever see.
Scoring:
3rd Quarter: DET 27, NJ 11
4th Quarter: DET 34, NJ 23
How fun is it to watch this Pistons team when Rasheed is throwing down follow up dunks, Big Ben is making jump shots, Corliss is scoring off the bench, and the best backcourt in the league are both red hot.
Chauncey Billups 9-16, 3-4 3PT, 7-7 FT for 28 points, 13 assists, 4 rebounds
Richard Hamilton 9-17, 0-0 3 PT, 10-11 FT for 28 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds
Rasheed Wallace 6-14, 3-6 3PT, 0-0 FT for 15 points, 6 rebounds, great job on Martin in 2nd half
Corliss Williamson 5-8, and 1-2 FT for 11 points
I know at one time in the 4th quarter we had limited NJ to one fast break point the whole half.
Tayshaun only had two points. We have so many guys that can just take over games.

Didn't get to see much of the game I was at work. What I did see of the first half way though was very unimpressive. Prince was a non factor so much so that Darvin Ham got some of his minutes in the 2nd quarter. The one other thing that bugged me was a play that I thought rasheed wallace gave up on. I think and I certainly hope it was because of his injury. It was a breakway by the nets but it seemed like he had the angle to try to at least alter the shot. Instead he slowed up and didn't contest the layup just a minor thing but that bugged me because at the time we were losing. I don't know what the pistons did at halftime but they turned it around and played a great 2nd half. Well at least we don't have to wait another 4 days for a game. I personally hope for a split in jersey but I think if we can win game 3 the nets will probably just give up.

loved the game, it has been the story all playoff long, we play okay in the first half and then take over in the second half, great game, I think that they need to get memo more looks but when you have chaunce and rip playin like that i can't see why you would be worried....great game kidd....4tos

The first half was disgusting...Horrible effort on defense and bad execution on offense, and way too tip ins and offensive rebounding in general for the Nets. Tayshaun got completely shut down for the first time this post season, but Chauncey was able to really step it up on the offensive end to make up for his absence. Chauncey and Rip each had great games and Chauncey was back to his old self in the fourth quarter just draining those 3's. At one point in the 4th we let New Jersey get back to within 7 due to some bad shots taken too early in the shot clock, but we were able to come up with the win.
What I liked about this game was 1)we limited the Nets to 13 fast break points and 2)it wasn't easy. Yeah, you look at the final score and is shows the Pistons by 15, but we had to fight the entire way. Pretty much since we've gotten Rasheed, the story has been when we win we are in complete control for the entire game while when the game is competitive for a long period of time we just can't come with the W. The best part about this win was that is showed the Pistons have not only the talent to win but the heart as well.
Now if we can just get 1 in New Jersey we should be able to end it in 5....

Tough, hard fought victory by the Pistons and I came away very impressed by the victory. Every rebound seemed to go New Jerz early on and they seemed to be getting all the bounces, well that ceased in the second half and the better team won by a significant margin. It wasn't exactly a blowout, but it's still 3 wins in a row against the (former?) two-time conference champions. They have to seriously doubt whether or not they can beat. Winning game 3 would be nice, but you have to expect Jerz will come out pumped determined not to go down 3-0. If we can somehow get a split on the road and make this series 3-1, I would start to feel a little relief. We can't relax yet though, Jerz is capable of winning both at home and then the series would become a best of 3 and we can't let that happen. Our mindset going into Jerz has to be set on winning two games rather than splitting for us to be successful.
Hell of a game by Chauncey. Some fans thought it was absurd to say Billups could play J. Kidd to a draw this series, well it's happening right before our eyes. Chauncey may even be winning the matchup. He definitely did last game. 28 and 13 on J. Kidd, I couldn't feel better right now. Great win by the Pistons.
