anyway i really hope we win this one because i dont want to go back to indy. we have proved that we can beat them there but it would be tough to do it 3 out of 4

Hopefully I'll be able to come home from prom, watch a couple highlights from the victory, and let the good times roll
We obviously know how to beat Indiana, no matter where the game is played. At this point we just need to remember that the games are played for a reason and you won't win just because you expect to. If we go out and play Piston basketball (and Larry Brown wakes up with regards to Corliss and Elden) we will be headed to the Finals.

I've missed the last two games for various reasons, and I'm going to miss this one because I have to work. I agree with thrillhouse, even so much to say this is a MUST WIN game. The Pistons are just not going to beat the Pacers three out of four games in Conseco. They need to close it out tonight, by coming out and playing hard.
As a sidenote if they do happen to play a seventh game, I will miss that one too.

As long as Rasheed reverts back to his low scoring mode, and Rip doesn't explode, and Jermaine doesn't get into fould trouble, we should win. I still think we should start:
Jones
Artest
Harrington
Bender
Croshere
cause those guys are the most effective against the Pistons, due to their run 'n gun style, but I know that won't happen. I don't know why though, it's not like if it doesn't work you can't insert the starters in.
It's not even like we give up anything of defense. We have the best defensive guard, Jones, on Billups, Artest in Hamilton, a pretty good defender, Harrington on Prince, 7 ft. Bender on Rasheed, and Croshere on the usually non-offensive threat, Wallace. We don't really give up much rebounding with Bender, Harrington, Artest, Jones in. In addition, it takes both Wallaces out of the paint, allowing Artest to drive in on Prince. If Detroit helps, kick it out to Bender or Croshere for the shot. What makes it even better, is that Reggie, JO, Foster, and AJ get to come in and work against the Detroit bench, thus exploiting them even more. Personally, I think this is flawless, too bad I can't contact Carlisle and it is too farfetched regardless.

You don't take your best player out of the starting lineup or replace 4 starters on a team that won 61 games. All Carlisle has to do is sit Tinsley and rotate his subs more to keep guys fresh, but he is too blind to see that. We have seen what an old Reggie Miller can do while guarding Rip -- nothing.
All Detroit would do is have one of the
Wallace's, more than likely Ben, guard Harington showing a flaw in your "plan".

Where's the point guard in that lineup? You need someone in that group to bring the ball up the court and I can't see second year player Fred Jones doing that. if we put Lindsey in the game to apply some pressure we could pick up a few quick points off steals. Tinsley may be injured but you atleast have to put him out there and see what he does or sub in Anthony Johnson. Fred or Artest at the point just won't cut it in the playoffs.

Damn, they didn't go with my lineup. Fred Jones is the PG. He's just as good a ball handler as Johnson, and a better shooter than injured Tinsley.

Yep, looks like the refs aren't going to go any lighter on JO (***disclaimer*** not complaining or justifying***)
