Are we watching the same clip? He took his last dribble at the 3 point line and hopped his way to a dunk...
Yi hopped for half-a-steps and took another 2 steps for that dunk - completely legal in NBA and even in most international games - and did not get call for travelling.
First full match I got to watch of him play today against the US. I must say I am impressed, he might be a bit raw but he's certainly got potential. He's no weak slouch either, he has buffed up considerably.

We're consumers. We are by-products of a lifestyle obsession. Murder, crime, poverty, these things don't concern me. What concerns me are celebrity magazines, television with 500 channels, some guy's name on my underwear. Rogaine, Viagra, Olestra - Tyler Durden
has anyone ever found out how old this kid actually is.
I watched his game 4rs ago when he's a skiny kid,i think he was about 14 or 15 then,

He still has a long way to go, though. Chris Bosh and Dwight Howard dominated him on the glass, and Brand took him apart defensively. He needs to work on his strength, and then his defense and boxing out will improve.
After watching the US/China game, I have to say that Yi has potential to be a solid player in the NBA. He is no Yao and he is no Nowitzki. He's got athleticism for a big man, but naught in the post skills aspect. First round pick definitely.
tough to scout a guy when your guards cant handle the ball. Yi is no doubt an athlete for a 7 fter, to me he is probably slotted low if anywhere after 5 in next years draft.
