So lets see, you remove a gigantic draft blunder from the Bobcats, keep them from overpaying Wallace and give them Durant. A too good to be true offer for the Bobcats.

Now for the Sonics, they get a useless "local" boy, a SF that they'll have to pay a lot of money and isn't as good as the SF they were just paying a lot of money. On top of that with the #8 pick, they'll have their choice of drafting a local center or adding yet another SF to their two they just received in the trade. Congrats, you've just made the Sonics worse on paper and given the fans nothing to get excited about.

I'm not done, you move Lewis in a sign and trade for Gasol and then you draft Yi or Hawes with that 8th pick. Sonics lineup;

Hawes/Yi
Gasol
Wallace
Allen
Ridnour
6th man Morrison

works for me

So you've made the Bobcats a lot better and the Grizzlies a lot worse to restructure, but not improve a lottery team. If Lewis and parts could actually get Gasol, the Sonics would be tremendously better with Durant.

at Morrison as the 6th man.

You maybe right about Lewis and parts for Gasol but i for one am not giving up on Morrison after one year, although to be honest most gave up on him by Christmas, i'll be the first to bury him after a couple of years of not getting it done but not one.

The Bobcats are pretty shrewed. I don't expect them to overpay any of their players, there is no history pointing to this. If anything, I'd expect them to let Wallace go if he's over $9 million a season. Overpaying and The Bobcats should not be used in the same sentence. At least not yet.
