McRoberts over Horford? Not sure anybody is going to buy that one.
And Lee and McRoberts play nothing at all alike. Lee is always in motion while McRoberts seems stuck in neutral a lot. He's nowhere near the rebounder Lee is while Lee doesn't have the same skill level in passing that McRoberts has

There is a tension, peculiar to basketball, between the interests of the team and the interests of the individual. The game continually tempts the people who play it to do things that are not in the interest of the group.

I think the comparison stemmed from the fact that they both werent the go-to guys that people expected and are both sort of tweeners in size, that was my point. i think Josh has the ability to have a similar impact as Lee.
McRoberts is like a big stiff who without his passing ability, would be a second rounder.
what he said. his court vision is the only thing to like about him.
he's soft. he's an overrated athlete; what good is it to jump that high if you have stiff legs and easily get pushed around? No way he is a better prospect than Horford. McRoberts will never live up to the hype he had coming out of high school, he better declare now before his stock falls even further.
As first reported by FOXSports.com, the versatile sophomore forward, who averaged 13 points, 7.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists this past season, met with Blue Devils coach Mike Krzyzewski on Tuesday night and will bypass his final two years in Durham.
Poll
McRoberts had met with Coach K after his freshman season and the two had pretty much decided that he would leave after this season.
"I am extremely grateful for the opportunities that I have had here at Duke," McRoberts said, according to The Associated Press. "This was a difficult decision, but I feel it is the best one for me and my family at this point in time. I will miss Duke, the coaching staff and my teammates, but it has always been goal of mine to play in the NBA."
Several online draft projections have McRoberts, one of two sophomore team captains for Duke, as an early- to mid-first-round pick. The draft is June 28 in New York.
Krzyzewski said he supports McRoberts' decision to turn pro.
"In the past couple of days, I've had the opportunity to meet with Josh and his mother," Krzyzewski said. "Josh has been a terrific player for us for the past two years, and he will be even better in the future as a professional. Based on our information, it is time for him to move on to the next level, and we are ready to help him in any and every way during this process."
While extremely talented, the 6-foot-9 Indiana native never quite lived up to expectations set for him in Durham. He was never able to take the leadership role or become the go-to guy on the offensive end.
McRoberts' career came to an end in the Blue Devils first-round loss to VCU.
McRoberts is expected to sign with Arn Tellum, according to sources close to McRoberts.
Had Josh stayed for another year or two, I truly believe he has the talent to be a top 5 pick. But by leaving early he is a mid to late first rounder, which isn’t the end of the world, but I feel he is losing out by being in this years draft.
I don't know if he robbed himself. I think if anything, declaring now is a push. His stock is volatile, and by jumping now, he still preserves some mystery about him. I mean if he stays next year, he has to fight for the spotlight even more with Singler, King, and Smith on board. It wouldn't look good for him to have Singler outscore him as a freshman. I think Duke was just a bad situation for him. I would've liked to have seen him at an up-tempo elite school like NC, Kansas, Arizona, etc.
If it were me, I would probably jump now as well. Stop the bleeding and preserve whats left of the '5 star talent' perception.

I think you're right and he's obviously thinking the same way, where he needed to be was a place where he could play alongside a great player like a Greg Oden, if McRoberts was at OSU they would have won it all, like they did together in AAU ball.
This article has some strange analysis. He claims that McRoberts jacks three-pointers despite only attempting 23 all year. The poor defence criticism was also more valid as a freshman. He did a good job in that area this year as the only post defender for a defence that for most of the year was ranked as one of the best in the country.
It’s always a tough decision, when you have to leave people you’ve spent a lot of time with..a lot of my best friends are on the team. Its tough to do…it was a tough decision. But at the same time I felt like I had to move on.
I’m definitely a 4, but I don’t know. There’s a lot of people who are better facing the basket or back to the basket, but at this point I think I’m better facing the basket.
