Since he's been playing in the NCAA I have been disappointed in what I've seen. When he was in high school people were saying that he was a top rated athlete. He is a pretty good athlete, but is offense has been average. No way he's a lottery pick as of now in my eyes. Right at this point in their careers I'd take Fazekas over him (granted Fazekas is a Senior, McRoberts is only a Sophomore playing in a much better conference).

I'm not sure about that. Yeah, McRoberts' numbers aren't great but he is also playing on a very talented and deep team that plays unselfishly. I would venture to guess if you swap McRoberts with Fazekas on that Nevada roster, Josh would get 20-10 as well.

As a reminder, Nevada's schedule so far is games against Oregon St., AR Pine Bluff, UC Irvine, Santa Clara and LA Lafayette

Are you insinuating that Pine Bluff is a cupcake?
They might be able to beat my Bearcats this year, but yeah they're squish and covered with frosting

Josh would probably get 10 boards, but I haven't seen anything that indicates he would score 20 points a game, even against Santa Clara and Pine Bluff.

I think if you give Josh 15FGA/game and make him the undisputed go-to guy to build confidence like Nick, he can get 20. He only got about 6/game last year and is getting about 8/game so far this season.

What I meant was, I don't think Josh is ever going to shoot that much. He'll give you some decent defense, good passing, rebounding, a few highlights, but he's just not going to shoot the ball. He isn't a go-to scorer until he proves he wants to be one.
in terms of college production, fazekas is better than mcroberts. but if you look at their skillset, mcroberts is more well-rounded (josh can defend, handle and dish). and a much better athlete than fazekas which makes a world of difference in the nba.
mcroberts probably never live up to the hype of being a lottery pick out of high school. he lacks the killer instinct that hansbrough(?) has. mcrobert's perimeter skills is why a lot of so-called experts put mcroberts ahead of hansbrough(?) in their mock draft. tyler's game is not pretty at all, but he always brings it and if mcroberts had half his intensity duke would be blowing out team's left and right despite their youth.
but he will eventually make some gm happy come draft night because with his current performance, he'll slide down the first round should he come out this year. who knows, he might even develop a back to the basket game by the time he gets to the pros.
