Thaddeus is a 6 foot 8 inch wing player in his Freshman season at Georgia Tech. He is left handed and has excellent ball handling skills and knows how to play defense. His primary weakness at this point is the lack of consistency on his jumper.
He is a scary talent. I think when all is said and done, he'll be the third player picked in the 2007 draft, behind Oden and Durant. The only other player who will rise like Young is Roy Hibbert.

Thad Young's the real deal. He has all the tools to be a big time defender and has really worked on his ball handling. I can easily see him being up there as "the one" from this class. He's got a great attitude and is extremely smart. He'll be a 2/3 on the NBA level, needs to work on his jumper a little. Should have a great year.
Young is slightly below Durant's level for me.

Charlotte is going to be a bad team, however, Bernie and Jordan get to make up for their bad selection of Adam Morrison, by taking a do-it-all type in Thad Young, who they can bookend with Gerald Wallace (with Morrison backing them up).
Thad Young would look very nice next to Raymond Felton.

Assuming the Bobcats lock up Gerald Wallace this offseason why would they spend yet another top first pick on a wing player? Adam Morrison was not a bad pick at all. He's going to be a Glenn Robinson type scorer for them for a long time. They didn't spend a top pick on a career backup. The Bobcats are going to need a little more help in the post if anything else and nabbing Spencer Hawes makes a hell of a lot more sense and he would be the perfect complement to Emeka Okafor.
Morrison will not be a better pro than Thad Young.

at least robinson can get you some rebounds not like morrison.
SG is the main problem for the Bobcats. May at PF and Okafor at C is a very good duo for the future in the East. Morrison should be the 6th man spark plug. However, with Wallace in the lineup, the Bobcats really need an athletic 2G that can run with the team, but that can hit from deep as well.
I really like Thad as a player, I just want to see his shot refined, as it's a very flat shot right now with an akward release.
Thad is pretty similar to a left-handed TMac you could say. He's somewhat similar to Josh Smith, but not quite the vertical, but a better shooter. However, I don't see a great comparison out there for him, you just have to see him play, it's pretty unique.
Are you talking about Brandan Wright? If so, no his stock isn't going anywhere. He's having a very solid start in UNC's two exhibition games averaging about 16 a game. If you want to compare someone to Bosh, it would be him. His arms are freakishly long and he has a very good vertical for a big man. I've seen comparisons of a hybrid between Rasheed Wallace and Sam Perkins from UNC's past.
