6'6 SG from USC. OJ Mayo will have some serious shoes to fill. Nick Young is an explosive SG with a first step akin to Dwyane Wade. Has all the skills you could look for in a SG, but doesn't get the TV exposure he deserves. He's an excellent rebounder and has nice touch on his shot. He's a capable defender with long arms.
His main weakness? He just has to put it all together on a consistent basis with intensity. If he does, look out.
Regardless, he should consider his draft prospects carefully for this summer before Mayo, Jefferson, and Jennings join the team and take his spotlight away.

Young is gone... If he comes back to SC, he will not only see fewer shots, but his draft stock takes a fall as well, because he wont be putting up these type of numbers. Mayo is going to take a lot away from Young's game and after the season he is having Young should leave anyway.
I really like him as a prospect. He always shows up in the big games, hits the big shots, and he seems to find a way to win his team the game. Look no furter then the game last night; 30 and 8. Arizona did everything to try and stop him, but he still hit nearly every shot he took.

Yup, I'd say he's good as gone. The success of guys like Josh Howard, especially this year, should help his stock as well. I don't see why he couldn't go first round; he could be a sleeper at the very end of the 1st like Howard in that respect, too.

He's got very good height for a wing and his game is smooth, but shows signs of improvement. It's been very nice watching him hoop up close. By the way, the Pac-10 is brutal. Going in the road is not fun.

I think both Young and Pruitt can hoop in the NBA someday. Like mentioned earlier Young is very smooth and what I think I like about him most is his confidence. I remember liking him after I watched him shred up UW last year.

The closest NBA player to Young IMO is Bobby Simmons. Simmons has 20+ pounds and a good deal of muscle on Young, and he is (at least was when he was on the Clipps) a purer shooter, but they're similarly built and they share many common skills.
Young is an excellent midrange player, although I don't think he necessarily has SG speed or quickness in the NBA... His first step is nowhere near Wade's, nowhere. Simmons played SG for the Clipps a few years ago, so I don't see why Young can't play SG, but he'll have defensive issues against quicker guards. He doesn't hustle inside like Josh Howard, and he isn't the run-jump athlete some make him out to be, but if he can play like Bobby Simmons did for the Clipps, he'll be a solid mid to late first. Against like-sized SFs though, his fade shots would get deflected quite often. So he'll need to adjust his game a bit if he does stay at SF.
Because of his relationship with Jordan Farmar (the two have been rivals since HS), I think he's definitely in this year. Had he known Farmar was going to stay in, he might have declared last year.

Didn't Farmar also tutor him in high school to help him play ball in college? I remember hearing that about either Pruitt or Young. Anyway, they both said they would stay next year so they could play with Mayo and company, I think Young may follow up on that.

Yeah, Jordan tutored Young... I saw where they said that (about staying for mayo), but ultimately he needs to take his own financial considerations into account. Pruitt isn't in the best position to declare right now (but if he were, he too should declare), but Gibson's age and hype may force him to declare this year (a raw rookie at 22 isn't going to hurt him much, but an equally raw rookie at 23 oe 24 starts to chips at his stock). On a team where Young and Cromwell are the size, he risks damaging his stock by being forced inside and banged on. I think he weighs his options but leaves with Gibson after they both consider their financial status.
If Pruitt has a strong run to finish the season, he could declare also, but I don't see it coming from him. He's a frustrating player, who certainly has lotto pick potential, but does everything in his power to spoil his future career (including but not limited to resisting learning the PG position and his academic self-sabotage).

That's pretty impressive. Josh is a great standstill shooter (he's in a bit of a funk right now, but he should snap out of it once he gets his confidence back). And when Even turned it on, he was unconscious. He played with rare instincts and style, he was right there with Melo in HS (too bad he didn't sit out a year or go to SMC to transfer to UCLA).
