Marcus Williams is a 6 foot 7 inch Sophmore wing player for Arizona. He can handle the ball, is a good passer and a go-to scorer. He needs to add strength to his frame to prepare for the pounding in the NBA.
Currently, DE has him at #8 and nbadraft.net has him at #9
In his first game of the season, Marcus scored 18 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and fouled out. There is a lot of talent on this AZ team, so Marcus likely won't have a huge scoring average this season.
I love his game to. Just got to put on some weight. Shaping into a strong draft if all the Fresmen come out. If they don't i see him being in the top 5. His game kind of remind me of Roy and Joe Johnson but without the passing skills(althought he has some)

Man that kid looked great on Sunday night against Virginia. He is legit. He's very confident with his jump shot. I wouldn’t say he is a freak athlete like (nowhere near) Iguodala, but he has enough athleticism. He had a sweet reverse dunk. His shot is smooth too. That Arizona team is LOADED. I'm just glad they don’t play D lol. No way he stays another year in college.
Anyone else think this kid's stock has gone down? IMO, Shakur has played much better this year than in year's past, which has kind of taken looks away from Williams and then Radenovic and Budinger have played well also. I've seen several of Arizona's games this season, and almost every time I watch, he either ends up in foul trouble or gets overshadowed by one of the above mentioned guys.

I had a conversation similar to this with Tucsop clip in the Alando Tucker thread. Williams IMO has been disappointing this year, whilst Shakur has looked really solid. To me he can be very passive, the talent is there though.
I think Williams has a lot of game, but this is a story of Arizona having way more talent this year, than last year (and less chemistry problems). For one, Budinger is there. Secondly, Shakur, McClellan and Radenovic finally decided not to underachieve.
I think Williams will shine on the pro level.

Yeah, I think M-Will is struggling a bit with so many cooks in the kitchen. They are all good cooks, but Williams is probably the best, and doesn't get the majority of the looks. He sure is tearing it up today though, keeping the Lopez twins and Stanford from pulling off the upset.

Anybody got any thoughts on Brook and Robin?
Well the thing about the Lopez twins you could see in this game, Arizona crowded the paint (and if Stanford had better guard play, they may have been closer). The Lopez's are big and physical and can finish around the hoop. I say if they refine their skills around the basket, they will be a top 10 team next year and should be first round picks.
They look better than the Collins twins at the same stage because they have more athleticism. They seem like they could actually be counted on to contribute offense at the pro level.

Marcus is taking one for the team by playing PF. This is also the reason Marcus is in foul trouble a lot.
Lute is asking a lot from Marcus, because he is playing the wing, the high post, some point, and posting up. While some may say his stock is slipping, I say he is showing his versatility and it will pay off come June. Obviously, he isnt putting up the same numbers as last season, but last year he was asked to be the go-to guy as a freshman on the perimeter. Marcus is also seeing a lot of time at PF, because he can finish. No offense to Ivan, but he isnt exactly a great finisher. With Mustafa opening up passing lanes this season, Lute has put Marcus in position to finish most of Mustafa's assists.
Marcus is still a lottery pick, but he isnt going to give you the same numbers this season due to his new role.

As for the Lopez twins, I really like Robin. He has a nice touch not only from the block but from outside the paint. They both play great defense, block a ton of shots, and are glass eaters.
Brook looks like an immovable force when he is in the paint and reminds me of Curtis Borchart when he was at Stanford. He isnt very athletic, but he is great on the glass, has a nice low post game, and is very strong.
When the Lopez twins were in at the same time, they gave Arizona fits on the glass. The Lopez twins are going to win a few big games for the 'Furd as long as they stay out of foul trouble.

Marcus has come on lately after a slow start, he'll be allright and probably get a call in the late lottery.
Marcus Williams hit a ho-hum 10 of 14 shots today.
Marcus connected on 18 of 22 shots this weekend.
