Al Horford is a 6 foot 9 inch 240 pound Power Forward in his Junior year at Florida. He has long arms and is more advanced defensively than offensively. He is an above average ball handler and passer for the PF position.
Currently at #9 in the DE mock and #15 in the nbadraft.net mock
One of my favorite prospects in the NCAA. He can run, pass, shoot, defend, and block shots. He's really worked on his offensive game in the offseason, and it shows.
Any team drafting near the end of the lottery (which is where I project him to go) will get a heck of a talent. Pro potential wise, I like him more than Noah, as does Billy Donovan, who's routinely called him the smartest player he's ever coached and the kid on his team with the best chance to be a star in the NBA.

Horford had 18 and 9 last night, and only played 4 minutes into the second half. He is such an impressive low post player... it's truly a treat to watch. The only question I had about his game entering this season, his jump shot, he is now knocking down with regularity.
His ball handling and passing skills, as with Noah, are very rare for a man his size.
I think he compares to Cedric Simmons, but he's a little more fluid and a little more advanced in his progression.
Florida is my absolute favorite team to watch because Noah and Horford play the game exactly as it should. When you watch fast breaks, and two of the three offensive players down the court are the center and power forward, and they beat 4 defensive guys back.... oh man, that's special. The last college big man I've seen run the floor that well was Charlie Villanueva, but he didn't always have his head in it. Both Noah and Horford are ALWAYS running.
