Is he the best PG prospect available this summer? Looking at who else could be available, I'd have to say yes.
The '07 draft looks to be pretty weak for points. If he declares, I think he could sneak in the top half of the first round.

Javaris still has ALOT to prove. He put up good stats against crappy competition, and has stunk against the good teams in Memphis and UCLA. Here are his averages for those two games.
31 mpg, 9 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 3.5 apg, 5 TO, and he shot 28.5% from the field. He's always been more of a SG that is playing PG, but his early season stats made me re-think that, but then his old game has come back.

He's followed up no-shows in four straight losses with 20.2ppg, 5.3rpg, 5.7apg, 2.8spg in last 6 (5 Ws).

The guy oozes potential. He needs to improve still, but physically there is no way this guy drops out of the top 20. Hopefully he improves his point guard abilities, returns for his sophomore year and declares next year. He'll definitely impress someone in the predraft workouts.

13 and 11 assists against UNC in an impressive victory. Shots weren't falling, but a solid performance.

Still too turnover prone, but I saw him play when he was a Junior in HS at the Adidas camp and he destroyed the comp. I have felt he was the best guard prospect in this class of freshman (all the other best players are true wings).
He reminds me for some reason of a modern day Kyle Watson (if you've seen Above the Rim, you'll know what I'm talking about). He needs to play more in control however.

Gotta admit I dont' watch much college ball, but caught his game against UNC and he just stood out. Can definitely seeing him running the show in the NBA.

Georgia Tech freshman guard Javaris Crittenton will declare for the draft but not sign with an agent, Yellow Jackets coach Paul Hewitt said Wednesday.
Crittenton's decision follows his classmate and teammate Thaddeus Young, who made the same declaration Tuesday.
Crittenton averaged a team-high 14.4 points and 5.8 assists for the Yellow Jackets, who finished 20-12 after losing to UNLV in the first round of the NCAA tournament. The Yellow Jackets finished 8-8 in the ACC.
Crittenton is considered one of the better guards available but it's unclear where he would be in the first round, so testing the waters to see if he's a lock for a high draft pick makes sense.
Underclassmen have until Sunday to declare for the draft and until June 18 to withdraw before the June 28 draft.
Go Clippers!
