He can do whatever you want offensively, and he plays tough perimeter defense. IMO he as passed up Shan Foster in terms of pro potential. He's a traditional SG but since he has played the PG a bit for Vanderbilt he has good ball skills as well. He's a second rounder in this draft, but I think he can help out the right team.

maybe it is just me but i think he going to be a top 20 pick in this year darft. THe kid can do it all, he can pass, shoot, and handle the ball. He a complete player.

I think this draft is a bit to deep, but you never know whose going to "Balkman" and take a player that fits their needs instead of best available. Byars would really help out some teams that are in need of a backup SG that can play some D and shoot.

He's definitely a better prospect than Alando Tucker.

byers has definately impressed me in this tournament. he just does so many things for his team that don't show up on the stat sheet. I think he's as good as any SG in this draft.
the more i watch this kid play the more i like his game. He can score, pass and also is a good rebounder for his size. I know nbadraft.net has him compare to Roy anyone else think he can have a Rookie season like Roy?
Player of the Year in a major conference. Does everything well including defend. Has range. Good ball skills. Good size for his position. Very smart kid.
Some playoff team/contender is going to score big by getting this kid.
Nbadraft.net bumped him all the way to #9, which I think is a little high.
I'm not sure about a Josh Howard comparison. In college, Howard was a great rebounder and mediocre distributor, unlike Byars.
I think he'll end up being closer to a Jarvis Hayes or a Rasual Butler.

If you want to see him you can watch SEC basketball games on the net over at Yahoo Sports.
I really like the kid and think he would be a great fit for a team like the Hornets or the Cavs. Where he doesn't have to create on offense but will be a huge help on defense.
