I didn't understand Roy and Reyshawns relationship this year. Rey would not be involved in the offense for a huge stretch in the game and then Roy would feed Rey the ball down the stretch in games. I really did not undertsand that, if you are so confident dude can score why not go to him earlier in games? Rey also has a problem of standing around too much and watching in the beginning of games too, but Roy as a coach should eat at him for doing so.....
Honestly I think Roy wasn't very interested in Terry this year with all the young talent around
Reyshawn Terry when mentally in the game is the best player on Carolina this past season and even when he was buried on the bench in 2005. He's 6'8, long, strong, quick, athletic, can jump out of the gym, good ball handler, and can bomb it from downtown. He's also extremely clutch and the reason Ellington took the last shot I'll never understand. It is like already said all mental with this guy. Hopefully he can be more focused and get a coach who can bring his sky high potential out of him in the NBA. If this guy had the mindset of a Kobe he'd be one of the best palyers on the plaent I think.
Really the only thing scouts question is his mental game........ The problem is that he was fine last year becuae roy actually used him. This year most of his whole "mental issues" have arrived because of roy not utilizing him. Really from the get go Roy gave the green light to the freshman and Rey was just there. Really he has not seen consistent touches this year. He would have games where he only shot 2TIMES. If Roy really wanted to use Terry he would of done something. Instead of giving Ellington the green light and allowing him to get alot of touches, if Roy gave those touches to Rey we might still be playing(when rey plays well we dont loose). This reminds me of another Carolina player who exploded in the next level, a man by the name of Willie Parker, different sport but simular story, lol.
if terry doesn't "get it" by now, being a 22 year old senior, having spent four years in one of if not the best programs in the country, will he ever? He'll never live up to his potential, but he might find his nitch with some team in the L.

Well you got to think about Roy's situation. He's got a team that goes 13 deep and 11 of them would start at 99% of all the other Division 1 schools in the country. That's alot of egos and alot of attention to give. I think Roy might have recruited and stacked the team too well. But at the same time it's really good for Carolina's future because even if we lost Wright, Hansbrough, and we'll lose Terry anyway UNC will still be a really good team next year.

I'm not counting him out. He is a senior but really was practically red-shirted until his junior year. When I think of "doesn't get it" I think of players with attitude problems or low basketball IQ. It's not like he is just being stupid all the time or something it's just he doesn't get involved and it's hard to tell whether it's because he can't be or if it was coached in him because of the talent around him. I think Roy was expecting more out of Ellington so he tried to develop him a lot and give him plays and minutes at the expense of Terry. He's still a complete question mark to me.
Lets see what he does at Portsmouth. He is on a team where it will be difficult for him to steal the show.
