Osvaldo Jeanty

There was a listing on the bottom of the sportsnet wire that said Osvaldo Jeanty was entering the NBA Draft. With his credentials (albeit at the Canadian University Level), I think Osvaldo looks to be a lock to get drafted.

He Won 90-95% of the games he played, Won a national championship Every year (5 times), Was player of the year Two times, and Conference player of the year twice. A Conference All-star I believe every year, a Rookie of the Year, and several other individual awards. What Canadian basketball fans love about him is the fact that he always played well in championship games Leading his team in scoring in 4 of the 5 championship finals (including perfect a Showing of 8/8 from downtown two years ago).

A member of the Canadian National team, Jeanty is known for his three point jumpshots being one of the most consistent in North America. MY question is do you guys think that he will be picked early-mid second round by a good team that wants a situational shooter..

Just based on these credentials alone, a team that has a winning culture could really use a guy like that. Similarly, a team like the Hawks or Raptors who are trying to develop a winning culture could bring in a guy like this to be a good influence from the get-go.

Re: Osvaldo Jeanty

He was born in 1983 and is a 6 foot, 182 pound shooting guard. Don't see him even making an NBA team as a free agent

This linkis to a word document from the Canadian National Team's website that gives a small bio on him and his stats from the games played in the summer of 2006.

Link to the Canadian Senior Mens team from 2006.

I think he could seriously help either franchise manning the nacho cart.
